Right then...I've begun the 3rd album (the follow-up to 'Speak For Yourself'). I'm going to write a more frequent blog as I did with the last one so you can keep an eye on me and make sure I'm not slacking! I wonder how it's gonna turn out? How exciting! You're very welcome to comment but please don't ask me questions on here or i'll never get any work done. You can email me with any questions you have and every month we'll pick 20 from the virtual 'hat' and post them. Send your questions to: [email protected]

Much much more to come! Love, fluv x i x Wheeeeee!!!

Wettarce

That's whatcha get when you cycle home in the rain...(recognize the carpet?)

Well...I'm going to be leaving "closing In" now for a while. He's got to that stage of 80% there...He's not come out like any of the others. He's quite live sounding compared to the other songs. Actually most of the songs sound pretty different to one another. That's what I like about it. I didn't start this record with a "right...now I'm going to make THIS kind of an album". Every tune has taken me somewhere different. It's worked out that I work on an two or three songs at a time. If I get stuck on one, just load up one of the others and keep diving in and out of them. So I guess this way they ended up even more on their own paths cause I'm always A/B ing..

I've decided what I'm going to do for a week or two before I settle back in the studio for stage 2...I've got nine songs now I'm pretty happy with...The Walk, I'm in love with you (an old song I always liked...sounds TOTALLY different!) Goodnight and Go, Loose Ends, Closing In, The moment I said it, Headlock, Clear the Area and Have you got it in you...then there's Daylight Robbery...I'm still struggling with that one...and the final 11th mystery choon...

Going to have another play with Daylight robbery before I go...but what I'm going to do after is take my little bicycle and cycle down the Thames Path (path alongside the River Thames...incase you hadn't put two and two together). The source of the Thames is 107 miles from our flat. If I do around 15 a day I should get home in a week...It begins in Cirencester. The two major towns it winds through are Oxford and Reading. I've always wanted to do it. To watch it grow from a tiny weenie trickle out the ground to a busy City River. All kinds of things on the way. Just gotta hope there's not a week of rain planned! Take a good book or two, a map, my ipod...and I'm sorted. My plan is I'll be fresh and ready for action when I get back. Not going to listen to what I've done at all while I'm gone...

Had a little rehearsal with Jeff again today. I'm sooooo excited that I'm going to sing at the Albert hall tomorrow! WOW! It's soooo beautiful...WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR!!!?

Gone to rummage through clothes...

Love love

So i've been catching up with your blog, and you've managed to unconsciously convince me to really seriously consider going towards the Way of the Mac. I've been turning my apartment into a personal recording studio, and it just seems more logical to go away from my Dell and towards an ibook. any feedback on your experience (other Mac equip. to use, etc.) would be so helpful.
A few questions, though- what recording software do you use? Also, i'm looking for a better mic to use, are there any brands you'd recommend? And i have to tell you, it's a huge comfort to know that someone else obsesses as much over the tiny little details of making and editing music. I thought i was crazy for a second there, but it's too much fun to be considered unhealthy. ...right? ;)
Thanks!

Have fun singing at Royal Albert Hall. And hopefully you stay dry cycling by the Thames. I've been trying to nail down some synth-pop tracks, but I hate everything I have come up with. LOL. Not sure if that is going to happen or not. Anyway, have fun.

it's good U care about your health Immi, i love cycling too (even if it rains), sometimes U just gotta breathe in with some fresh air. U say it's rainy in England - don't worry - we have a typical "English Weather" in Poland now...and rather rainy holiday break ahead. Anyway, we're not made of sugar, right? :-) i've always been interested in artist's attitude to his own tracks, just what to do not to get sick of them (coz U have it in your mind non stop). Immi says she doesn't listen to her music when she's out - i think it's very sensible, just to have distance from it all. I have a simple music software, and i love making tracks which i found great at first but after time, when i'm coming back to them, i'm like "what a shit, it sux, who did it?". So the point is to be patient and develop your ideas gradually. I wonder what hides behind the titles of your new songs Immi, i hope you'll make them sound in the way U wish them to be :-) and have fun on your tommorow concert, wish U luck! if only i could be there...

have fun, enjoy and don't be nervous!
by the way, loved that you decided
to take back "i am in love with you".
but , uh, i dont mean to be boring, what about "miel"?
(pelase?)
kisses

immi,
what happened to pocket sun, kidding, foolish and cid anthony? have they got different titles? or will they appear as b-sides? i really want to hear them as studio versions. and i also want to give you some money for making great music. :)

just found your site here via jeffbeck.com.

immi, i cannot tell you how much i enjoyed your performance at RAH on both the 23rd and the 24th of June. was visiting the UK specifically for Jeff's shows and found your performance to be as utterly amazing as Jeff's. your vocal's on Rollin' and Tumblin' are brilliant on cd! but your live performance was truly something to behold. all of us were knocked out by the other tune, Blanket. is it out on cd or must we wait for it? when ever it is you tour the US, please stop in Detroit, i should not want to miss you if you perform in my city or nearby........you are simply fabulous! best to you from the States, we are waiting for you.
