Right then...I've begun the 3rd album (the follow-up to 'Speak For Yourself'). I'm going to write a more frequent blog as I did with the last one so you can keep an eye on me and make sure I'm not slacking! I wonder how it's gonna turn out? How exciting! You're very welcome to comment but please don't ask me questions on here or i'll never get any work done. You can email me with any questions you have and every month we'll pick 20 from the virtual 'hat' and post them. Send your questions to: [email protected]

Much much more to come! Love, fluv x i x Wheeeeee!!!

Air, hair Lair....Rare bear

Today I caught the ferocious Urban Brown Bear asleep and off guard. First ever recorded footage of this rare animal. This bear has been terrorizing the Waterloo neighborhood over these last few weeks. If you see this bear report it immediately. Guilty on numerous counts of time wasting!

I care see...something for everyone!

eh hem...(tapping fingers)

ALBUM!! Hello!

Yeah...i did actually do some work today...but I got a new toy too! I love it! It takes pictures, videos, records music, plays music and I think you can make calls on it to or something.

Cool!

Ja...I've really got a much clearer picture on "Closing in" now. Went trawling through the Hard drives on the Mac today and found some wicked sounds I had discarded and left for dead on one of the older sessions of the song. So that was a nice surprise. I like it when I find sounds I've created and have absolutely no idea how I made them! It's so easy to get lost in the spontaneity of sound sculpture...yuk, that sounded so pretentious...sorry...anyway, when it happens it's really cool...I'm trying to think how to describe what I'm not explaining very well!...erm...I guess it's just like a great chat with an old mate. You're not thinking your just enjoying chatting away...and then out of the blue you say something and you're like...did I say that? Wow! ...hmmm...I'll just pretend like I meant to say it and that I say great things like that all the time.

You get me?

You don't get me?

Aye...

Got wireless internet action going on in the flat today...liking it..my man has his new laptop and I my new phone..so now, I'm going to be getting a laptop soon. I think I should get one coz I feel like each trip I make to and from the studio on my bicycle is half an hour everyday wasted on tarmac and traffic lights. I should be Pro-tooling on the bicycle move...oh yes...It's a technique I will master for the sake of me finishing this album!

Now I am going to love you and leave you before I fill your brain with anymore useless information...

Over and out...

Play on!

Xx

Hey Immi,

*is re-reading the paragraph about finding sounds on Hard drive*

Oooh.. now I get it! ^^

I recall going through the same thing with my old piano pieces that I created about half a year ago. Well, the timespan may not be the same between both situations, but I don't have the best memory. Hehe. ^^; In any case, it was great finding and playing them once more. It definately felt like a friendly reunion.

Oh.. I almost forgot. I have a question to ask. Are you, by any chance, doing a concert (or appearance) in the summer? I ask because I am a Canadian who shall be travelling to the UK in the end of July for two weeks. I will also be staying in London for a few days. Hehe. I am very excited to visit the country nonetheless, but if you could reply that would be wonderful. ^^

Re: gig...Hi there..as yet I've got nothing planned, sorry. If when you come over you come an visit London ...these are fun things to do....pedalloing on the serpantine lake in Hyde Park. Tate modern. Walk Along the thames river on the south side starting from Lambeth bridge to Tower Bridge...really beautful (or take a hillarious boat ride in one of the smaller tour boats- worth it for the commentary! Kew Gardens is also really lovely and quite a nice boat trip) Go check out for cool films at the NFT. Eat A Sunday Roast at the Anchor Pub on the river near London Bridge. Borough Market for Food! Covent graden, Neal street for shoes and around there for clothes. Brick lane for a curry, that kinda area, Old street/ shorditch for the clubs (drum and bass, scratch nights, Gltich, electronica) Berwick street for record shops, portabello market at the weekend for boutiquey clothes, Selfridges if you've got some wedge you want to get rid off on designer labels, 12 bar for a tiny live venue/ bar that used to be a stable in the olden days! (check Time Out for though first!) Infact buy a Time Out as soon as you get to London...tells you all you need to know about stuff going on. Have fun! xxx

Please master the pro-tools/bicycle ride technique. I do not want to read about Immi dropping and breaking a brand new laptop. No, I wouldn't.

Have a grrreat time visiting London, Aggie! I was there for four days with some classmates at the end of April; it was the highlight of the trip! Don't forget to stop over at the Maple Leaf if you're ever feeling a bit homesick...that's what I did! ;)

ok, just take it easy immi?
imaine if u fall with your lap
and break one arm or anything?
god, pelase be careful...
i dont wanna hear anything 'bout u
having to cancel a tour
or anything for a broken arm!
(heh)
but it surely won't happen ....
by the way,
ive noticed that on
island record's website fou frou
isnt anymore listed on the artists row.
have u split with them?
and if u have, do u already have a new label to

re: frou lack on Island. Yup..you're right. We are no longer on Island. We are free agents. I didn't want to spend another four years on a record...writing, recording, releasing, touring it for the label to loose their bottle just when I need it most. I plan on doing this as much on my own as possible. The music industry has got its knickers in a right twist and I don't want to be a part of it falling apart even more than it has already. Internet, Itunes, napster. This is the begining of a new era for the industry. You're either Pop idol or your own your own i reckon. The labels are eating up each other up faster than they can decide who's going to stay or get the sack in the mergers. Hopefully by christmas there'll just be one MASSIVE record label and then everyone else can ignore it and get on with getting the good stuff heard through these new channels that are bubbling up. That's what I'm banking on anyway! :) at least this way it's me who makes the mistakes, not watching someone else do it for me! x

the bear scared me so bad that I just wanted to go somewhere and HUG HIM REALLY TIGHT.

luv 'im

:D
