Comfort Comes Imogen Heap was the voice of the band Frou Frou. Imogen Heap is electro and at times funky inspired. Imogen has already had her work appear on the O.C. “Headlock” the album opener shows a lot of promise. It's a solid pop track but there is a lot going on here. The production work on her is very tight. Imogen sounds like a great mix of Shirley Manson, and Björk. “Goodnight and Go” is very poppy and is laced with layers of beautiful electronica. “Hide and Seek” is really something else. Its just Imogen voice running through various machines and coming up with some great sounds. But it sounds so full, gorgeous, grandiose yet so simple and bare. It's quite a special moment. “Daylight Robbery” is loaded with big guitars over a simple pop beat. “I Am In Love With You” is simple sophisticated pop. “The Moment I Said” is a simple piano driven tune where Imogen sort of sounds a bit like Sara McLachlan. “Speak For Yourself” is a special album. Imogen brings a new style. It's a slick record full of some top notch pop songs, some great production work. By John Siwicki
