Imogen Heap - iBlog: Silver

Didn't get round to doing the little sync of the drums phone video thing today. It is only 9 seconds and I'm sure it's really easy to do if you know how but I've never synced music to video before. I know you can do it in Pro-tools though...just a bit bleary eyed now. Going to call it a night...Drums are working nicely but now I've recorded these drums and spent some time spicing up the rhythm track in general, the rest of it sounds a little dull...so tomorrow I'm going to start bringing all the parts up to par with these new drums...it's a pain in the arse 'cause I thought I was closer on this one that I am...it's gotta be done right though...no cutting corners. I couldn't live with myself!

A little question for you peeps...

I was looking a little closer in the mirror today coz something shiny caught my eye and I went nose close to inspect...it was ANOTHER grey hair! Well actually it's quite silvery...I got my first one about a year ago. Forgot about it but now I'd say I have around 15...I'm 26? What could it mean? When you get say...15...for instance...if it's 1 to 15 a year that means 15 by 15 is 225, and 225 by 15 = 3,375, 3,375 by 15 is 50,625...and that by 15 is 759,375...and that by 15 is over 11million!! Have i got that many hairs on my head? I hope this isn't the formula for silver hair growth rate or i've got 6 years 'til complete coverage! Goodness...it'll be easier to dye my hair weird colours i guess..no need for bleaching...

Anyway...I'm sure you really wanted to know that...

It was taken by a friend of mine, Miss Michael Crook..yes she's a she...Up and coming I think, most definitely! x Shot in February this year in my hotel room in LA the morning I was leaving for the airport to come home. She only used the light from the windows. I think it's great. I have a few more too from her. Will put them up on the website when it's done...

see, MY concept of gray hairs is similar to my concept of wrinkles: they're proof that you've been somewhere, done something... of course, i don't have gray hair or wrinkles (yet), but i'm hoping my optimism holds out when i do. ;)

Immi:

I don't think you need to worry about it. My mom started getting grey (er, I mean, silver) hairs when she was in her twenties, and it's been progressing very slowly -- even now, at 51, her hair is only about 20% silver.

And besides -- silver hair looks distinguished! ;-)

I am 30 and have 2 grey hairs. That freaked me out. But it's natural I guess. It looks like colouring your hair to hide the greys might be what you might need to do. LOL. Sweet picture! ^^

Getting the first grey hairs ranges from different people. A friend of mine got her first ones went she was 16! At least I thought they were grey hairs.. sure looked like them.. hmm..

Dying is everyone's best friend, except mine. Dying it even once will wreck my hair because of its extreme thinness. ^^;

take a few chill pills and you'll be alright. try not to overwhelm yourself with too many things. take it slow and easy and take your time in what you do. besides, we wouldn't you to rush through this new album. :)

oh dear... my first ever reply to the iblog is about silver hair. *gasp*

well, as people have said - i wouldn't worry; it only makes things worse, allegidly ...
i got one silver hair when i was still at 6th form, which would have made me about 16/17? i pulled it out though and have only had one other since (now 19 rolling on to 20...)
and one of my best friends, ernest (same age as me), has a load of silver hair, & he looks very classy. but he does have sideburns, in all fairness.

i believe it is acredited to stress however ... maybe you need to drink more camomile tea, or some such thing?

(also, that picture is gorgeous - it never ceases to amaze how stunning you are immi!)
