[quote="wookali"]but before i go, if you all would please indulge me in one terrible noobish question (you never know till you ask right?) (that was not the question by the way) how do you pronounce Imogen Heap? i am rather sure i am not doing it justice. forgive me too if that question is addressed elsewhere on these forums. i have not come across it yet, but i have far from read everything.
Think of how you would pronounce the word 'image' except with an un sound at the end. That was probably not the most conventional way to explain it but I hope it helps.
I guess I might as well do a bit of introducing myself. I've been on the forums for a little bit. Just haven't done much posting. I think this is my second? Ah, I remember discovering Imogen's music. My sister, a friend, and I went to see her back in May when she played in Austin. Correction, we were going to see Zoe Keating, but we decided to stick around for a few of imogen's songs. I think by the 3rd or 4th song there was some sort of unspoken agreement that we would be staying for the rest of the show. A few days later, me and my sister are driving home from college. We didn't have the cd yet because we were waiting to get home to buy it. Well my sister had downloaded Hide and Seek and Good night and Go onto her laptop, so a few hours from home, I pulled it out and we played those two songs over and over until the battery was going to die. We were still a little ways from home, so to fill the time we attempted to sing Hide and Seek ourselves. That is, one of us would sing the melody, and the other one would *try* to harmonize. I'm glad the car didn't die from shock.
See all you i-babblers around the forums |

Hi guys,
I'm a huge Immie fan from Romania. Just seen The Holiday and had a tremendous surprise when I heard Imogen on the soundtrack.

I first heard Hide and See by Sweet ImmI at a movie theatre sitting comphy and cozey at a theatre waiting for the movie Syriana to begin. Actually as I walked into the theatre absorbed by the welcome aura of ancient celluloid, H and S was playing. My mildly adrenilined expectations for the show were pleasantly hijacked by A Princess From Another World. I sat in my seat by myself but not alone, always accompanied by a warm supporting inner radiation of infinite and eternal wonder at the beauty of the Universe and the Creatures of the Creator, Daughters of Light; Spectrums of Beauty and Tenderness Reflective of and Representational of the First Source and Center of All Love. Pure and undiluted, 100% double your money back, certified and guaranteed good for Eternity and capable of emanating the Fragrance of Infinity in a all directions, hither and yon, one with the Quality of Depth, undaunted and good as gold. With a Saphire Heart, Diamond Bright. Any of Truth, Beauty and Goodness they hold in their hand, firmly knowing all can not be known in forever, though laughing, and loving we take another step or two into the day that cannot ever end. God cannot end, we cannot end. Only, just Be. Essence we are all. As all, we, his image is as a seed grown on Earth to grow into the highest high. Closer To the Son do we dare. Spirits cheer us on. Unseen but surely not unfelt.
So there did I walk upon a theatre and hear un-Earthly Delight
That was 2005, time coordinate approx xmas check} .................... -
The first three Videos were captivating. Hide and seek seek and find
I didn't get back you much in 06. I'll have my head examindASAP!
These past few days I put you back into my ears destined for my mind. Listened anew and was richly rewarded for heeding that still small voice that gently and lovingly points to something goodlike.
You are a rare goodness. Grateful am I. So now I feel a goodly measure of a small understanding closer to I am that I am. Moving Beyond the Beyond the Beyond~
look out and see in. Look in and see out.
Does that make any sense at all?!?! Gotta stop putting anchovies and miniature marshmallows in the Jello. Hmmm |

Hello there lovely people of immi world.
i'm andy, i come from a place called warwickshire in england, i'm 19 years old and i've been an immi fan for a long long time but just never thought to sign up on here. so now i have! how is everyone? i love music and film and i'm in a couple of bands. i'm off to uni in september to study film production which is quite exciting but a bit scary at the same time. i've seen immi 3 times live and they were all incredible experiences which i won't be forgetting any time soon. if your interested in having a listen to any of my musical projects then i'll put the links below this sexy looking peice of writing.
www.myspace.com/hollson - indie pop rock inspired by bands like snow patrol, coldplay, death cab for cutie, the doves, u2...
www.myspace.com/theautumnparty - electronic pop! inspired by the likes of imogen herself and other tasty bands like the postal service and the faint.
www.myspace.com/andyjohnhollandmusic - my solo project. inspired again by imogen and other people (not quite as good looking as her) like immoor, the postal service (again). elliott smith, john lennon, the shins.. blah blah blah blah.
i hope you don't mind me plugging my music. go and have a listen if you like
that's all from me x |

Hello from Maryland. I've heard Immi before but somehow or another, I've recently been knocked conscious by her music. Thanks for rekindling my love for melody and harmony and interesting noises.

cheers. immi's blog is the coolest, and to all the naysayers (you asked for it James) if you POST derisive and off-colour comments on immi's blog or anything from Newcastle you will have your private parts cauterized! that's right, you shall be rendered "Useless" by the "Angry Angel" are you "Getting Scared" so "Whatever" if you don't Listen to my oh-so "Sweet Religion" you will never "Shine" on this stage. instead you will be smashed to bits by"Speeding Cars" into appoplectic apocalyptic "Guitar Song" heaven and have your vox interred in a muddy ditch in Newcastle\\
you lot can of course expound, etc., if you dare!! |
