Forgive me if I'm duplicating a topic I didn't see elsewhere with a quick search... I can move or edit this if necessary:
Saw this just today and wondered if anyone here has more info. Has she discussed this with us fans? Do we know what song(s) she contributed?

Billboard reports that Dolby’s 3-part concept album, A Map of the Floating City, features TFB fave Regina Spektor, Mark “Money for Nothing” Knopfler, Imogen Heap, canadian fiddle master Natalie McMaster, and others.

Thomas Dolby is "a good halfway through" his first new album in nearly 20 years, and he plans to have the first music from it out in June -- for his online fan club, at least.
Dolby tells Billboard.com that the "A Map of the Floating City" album -- which features guest appearances by Mark Knopfler, Regina Spektor, Imgoen [sic] Heap, Natalie McMaster, Eddi Reader and Camera Club's Bruce Woolley -- is comprised of three suites. |

well DavidB told the team this: DavidJayB @TheHideawayTeam Immi mentioned this somewhere ages ago. I think she just played jaw harp for TB. I don't think this is the new collab.
So, he has more info than me apparently |

Ha ha. Wow, actually glad I asked, then. Thanks so much for looking into this! It's all over the 'net, but there's not much real info.
So -- are we saying that Immi laid down a minute or two of her adorable l'il mouth harp boing-boing for Dolby, which has translated into the announcement that the new album-to-be "features" Immi, among others?
On TD's blog, and in the press info I've managed to dig up, I've noticed that she (and Knopfler, and Spektor) are being referred to as "guests" and "special guest artists."
On this blog, it says that TD has "enlisted" these artists for the album.
But if the sum of it turns out to be that Immi merely contributed some of her lovely "noises," then perhaps well, "omg Collaboration" -- not so much.
Do we know for sure? TD is filling the interwebs with a lot of cyber-ink on this upcoming album, (his first in 20 years; can you smell the excitement?) but not actually revealing a great deal...
O/T, I do like his old stuff, and his avowed admiration for our girl definitely endears me to him... wish him luck on this album and will be interested to give it a listen when it comes out. |
