In the past, although Immi's music has been a true forte of hers, it was her voice and lyrics that really drove her mastery.
This album is really interesting because it seems like she puts her music first and foremost, with her voice as the amazing complimentary component instead of the other way around. I think this is exemplified by the fact that the deluxe editon comes with instrumental versions of all the tracks. The second disk is a totally different listening experience from the first.
Thank you Imogen for giving me something to listen to on loop for the next week. |

| Listening to the instrumentals all the way through for the first time now. They are a different experience! I'm loving it! It really lets you appreciate how brilliant the music is on it's own. I think the fact that it's so listenable even without Imogen is a real testament as to why the album is so strong. |

I too loved the surprise at the end!!! I was like "What's all this extra time for? Just an ending gap?" I enjoyed it.
I LOVE the instrumental for "Little Bird!!!!" I never realized the hard metallic sounds at the end even after all the times I've listened to it before the official release! And I also love the instrumental for "Aha!" :] |

It to me is like another album. She adds so much with her voice alone it is stunning. Her Music just all comes together with her singing.
I will say that I enjoy singing her lyrics on the instrumental album. |

Is it only on the Physical copy? because I only have the mp3s from itunes for the moment, and there's nothing there... |

| Oh, well, I don't know if it's any different, because I didn't buy the downloadable copy, but the instrumental version of "Half Life" has a long pause after it then continues to play the piano alone without the fire from the song "The Fire." Then the disc ends. :] |

| Hmmm, yes judging by the track times it doesn't look like the iTunes version has the piano surprise at the end. I have the physical version too so I can't check. But Half Life is 6:13 on the physical version. It's only 3:59 on iTunes. |

| It's a true testament to Immi's talent that the instrumentals can stand alone and still be just as powerful. If you listen to the instrumental versions of anyone else's songs you feel like you're listening to an incomplete track, without the vocals it's clear what's missing. |

| I was surprised at how much I loved some of the instrumentals - I thought they'd be pointless but they actually helped me understand the songs better, namely Tidal and BBD. I feel like there's a lot of seemingly random stuff to process in those two songs, but when one takes out the vocals it makes so much more sense as to what the song means. |
