Ok, forget about everything, mean, everything, she will give a chance I do not know why but it is just a belive. probably she was drunk hah... 325 songs same vocals different samples. speak for yourself is killing me.
hey What E.P. stands for?
Extended Play
It's just a short CD of songs that may be released before an actual album |

| ^Yes, normally an E.P. has demo versions/original versions for promotional use for the future album. But, Imogen is providing a "the song that never was E.P." to give promotion to the creators of the remixes she likes best... probably to help deal with the long wait for the new album. |

In a way it's also Immi's tribute to her fans to have something released which her fans have helped to produce in her place. |

more often than not an EP is usually released when there aren't enough songs for a full length but the artist still wants to release something. |

I really want to know the winner of the E.P. contest, it's bugging me.
Not really, I just really want to know what she thinks of my version. And AvantGuy - that version is my favorite one ever (besides my own of course). |

wow, it's really great so far!
I like the unique dance beats from it, definitely could be a club it
here's mine: www.myspace.com/thatguywiththeheadphones
The route I went towards was what I thought it would sound like in the film, hence it's very orchestral but still kind of upbeat and happy. I started out with the click track, edited it with some echo and other effects and got that first "clickity" beat. The beat in the chorus is also created from it. Then it just kind of went on from there. I knew I wanted a long intro but still wanted to keep the vocals intact... so you got the "bababa's" and "just one place, just one place." The ending distorted sound you hear (and the bells) were created in one take... I have this sound on my keyboard and I just started to play along after the song because I wanted a long outro too.
And well, that's how this happened! |

My, do you ever bring that verse in dramatically!
Imogen's tweet yesterday (#TSTNW) bears great news, eh!?! |

| I hope Immi realises that with about 650 versions, each around 3 minutes long, it will take over 30 hours to listen to all of them! Maybe she could chuck some out after just a few seconds, but that is risky, because some of the good ones take a while to get going. Maybe it would help if we all recommend some for her special attention. I think the 'east European bar' one by TormentedByDemons is in a class of its own for wit and originality. Among the more 'serious' ones, Ashes Born's orchestral version and one by Michael Campion are among my favourites, but there are really dozens of good ones. The song itself is so good it is practically indestructible. I wish the lyrics were a bit clearer in places - I only just realised the first line is 'green to this, where's a manual when you need one'. I previously heard 'manual' as 'man', which gives it quite a different meaning! |

Sounds right to me. Also, I don't think it's "...where's a manual when you need one" :-)
Last June I moved from Chicago to New York and just now (well, about a month ago) finally got my studio back up and running. That means I could get started on that 5.1 surround mix of TSTNW. I did it, plus, I wrote a little visualizer program. So I made a video of a stereo downmix of my 5.1, hurray! That's here: http://www.youtube.com/avantguy1
Feel free to download my 5.1 surround mix too. That's here: http://bit.ly/TSTNW
The visualizer is a little rough, but, so is the mix <tiny smile>. |
