Heya everybody,
I'm really wondering what others think about the lyrics of the Frou Frou song, Flicks.
What do you think they mean? There are some words in there that I don't even know or understand. I hope I can get some results from here because, this might sound silly, but it is pretty important for something personal that is happening in my life right now 
Here they are:
Lung of love - leaves me breathless
Tongue of fool - lap me in enmity
Four walled secret lies among the Hessian
And a flicker of the future
Could've saved the cindered sister
And I'm motioning still they stand inside me

it looks correct Camu! i think it is an excersize in wordplay: motioning still
;flicker of the future- it is very visual kinda like a film, or, "flick."
this is far and away my fav immi lyric  |

not sure.
I always thought that the cindered sister thing was a reference to cinderella lol
idk. Probably not, but you never know.

well i found out that cindered means something like burned up, like into ashes~
and I didn't know enmity meant enemy~ism, lol
gosh the rest is so confusing but still I feel like it's understandable
ok, weird >.> meh |

It's about memories:
Lung of love - leaves me breathless (memory number one)
Tongue of fool - lap me in enmity (memory number two)
Four walled secret lies among the Hessian (remembering secrets and lies)
And a flicker of the future
Could've saved the cindered sister (she got hurt (burned), and looking back, if she'd known then what she knows now, she would have doen it differently.. I direct you all to Alanis Morissette's 20/20 as a sort of parallel song)
And I'm motioning still they stand inside me (she's moving on with her life, going through life, and the memories remain inside her...)
And moments until the one I leave (..until she dies)
Colorless I kiss her cold forehead I feel life (memories, one could say, are black and white recallings, pictures of something that was, but once you really start to think about them, they can really come to life for you again)
Lose it in a minute and (not sure, but she might mean forgetting?)
The ones to come feel too far to care (the new people in life often just don't seem to care about said memories)
And I'm motioning still they stand inside me
And moments until the one I leave
People concertina to my private magic lantern move for me (something like, she invited those she really cares about, and who really care about her, into her 'memoryspace' and allows them to be really roam in there)
With the senses all inclusive (and the memories become live to her again, mixed with these new people)
In the theater of triggered memories (and ehr memories are like movies  )
And I'm motioning still they stand inside me
And moments until the one I leave
That's pretty much how I'd put it.

I thought she said it was about movies, which is why she wanted film stips around it, but they didn't read her note, so when you look at the booklet on the Cd..

Which I think would be pretty consistent with the memories theory, just in a different light. |

hm lol, i was just doing the exact same thing and read that before the lyrics~
tho it says dahes, but that was probly your typo,
after that the lyrics just start =p
and hehe, fitting name, froufrou_flicks

i think this song is an inner reflection because she says "they stand inside me"
or it could be death, after all there are alot of hints, or maybe its a combination of the two, inner death and rebirth. |

| i think this song is a very clever song with very mesmerizing lyrics. i don't know if i'm right, but i think the song describes her memories, Hessian is the material used to stretch across canvas in paintings, so, it could refer to secrets held in a picture. |
