You can ask Island records (UK) nicely if they'd be up for that.....
But they won't be. |

There was a Frou Frou related remix competition to do with the Acid music app a couple of years ago, that means that there probably are different elements of the multitrack (probably stems) kicking about out there somewhere.
You can't get the files now officially because they aren't available from the site after the competitions close, but someone might still have them. Using them it might be completely possible to knit together an instrumental, or at least pieces of one. |

I thought it was Breathe In that was used for the comp? |

Sorry, my bad. All I remembered is it was one of the early tracks on Details and I was frustrated at not being able to download it. I love listening to the bits that make up a track (like that Noodle thing you get on some of the stuff from Real World records) to see how it's put together.
I don't look back at that site often because they don't often seem to have artists I'm interested in. |

They are stems, and don't usually run the full length of the song; vox1, vox2, vox3, bass1, bass2 etc. just for an idea.
It's a crying shame some people still can't synch it all up right after that.... And if those files were beatmatched....... Yikes. That's bloody laziness.

I've yawned at many contests, and the judging is unpredictable and often, in my opinion, very poorly thought out. |

| James, is there a reason Instrumentals & A Cappella's weren't ever released with any Immi/Frou Frou songs? DJ's seem to LOVE IMMI and the ibabblers always crave and ask for "Speak for Yourself" instrumentals so I think it would only make sense to include those on the promo discs and such. |
