| Hey all...Firstly immi was totally awsome. Really enjoy her concert apart from the fact it was a band venue. I managed to have a chat to the sound engineer after the show. There was clearly some sound problems...lots of feedback etc.You could se that immi was not particularly happy in some points. I guess that is a reason why i really enjoyed her concert more, as i could just look at her and listen to her amazing vocal performance. I will give the sound engineer the benefit of the doubt that the venue was bad, but personally....some of the sound problems were his fault...feedback etc, and what was the sub all about?? Apart from that, good show..but that was clearly down to immi being amazing. |

Unfortunatley Immi's set-up isn't really suited to dirty little rock clubs! her sound engineer is great and works with a lot of big names, but sometimes things just don't go according to plan!
Glad you enjoyed the show regardless though! |

I'll start by saying it was a really good show - the songs really came alive in a live setting.
However there really were sound problems. Zoe's set suffered most - it was very quiet - less than a third of the way back from the stage, I still had to listen very hard to hear what was being played. I would expect the sound guys couldn't just crank the volume due to the likelihood of feedback, but the lack of volume may have meant that people in the bar area simply didn't know someone was on stage playing and kept talking. A shame, because Zoe played some really great stuff. Immi got caught by feedback too, especially towards the end.
I always think of The Arches as a club venue, rather than a live music venue, but I can't think of another room in Glasgow of a similar size with better acoustics
Still a great show though !
PS. Does anybody know what that "beep beep beep" was ???? |

Well I thought she was fantastic... better than ever!
And how great to hear 'Speeding Cars' for the first time ever live!
I was way at the back and due to the fact I suffer from being fairly vertically challenged I couldn't see her but to me she sounded amazing.
'Just For Now' was... wow. Right after that my friend turned to me and said, "she has to do a live DVD/CD!"
Anyone know what the setlist was? |

i think it was the guy that kept shouting whistling, he lughed afterwards so i presume it was, that peeved me off when he kept shouting, i'm all for support but that was just a bit rude TBH...anyways yeah heard Zoe better the night after but it was a great gig nontheless...how awesome was loose ends? and hide and seek, cliché but it is such an amazing song

Apologies, I'm obviously getting old and deaf. The venue is only bad if you had a full on band with monitor system hammering away on stage. There were a couple of howl rounds as I recall but I've no idea what the reference to sub is about. The only person I talked to at the end was very complimentary so I'm all confused.
Think I'll go and lie down now that the tour has finished.

I don't think the sound was "bad" - just Zoe was very quiet, but that's the trials and tribulations of mic'd acoustic instruments for you. Apart from that, it was fine. Immi's mic had a couple of squeals when she came out from behind the keyboards, but nothing out of the ordinary - but that did make me think cranking the volume for Zoe wouldn't have helped much.

You deserve it - I wouldn't be a FOH sound bod for, well, anything really...
