hello everybody!
How are you going?
I was looking for some friendful and smart kids for helping me to find out an open source software project SITE (the best please). I've looking in the web but it is too difficult for me to do that. The question is, I am a beginner programmer of Visual Basic, I'd like to find some interesting files to check them out and see what the advanced level programmers have done.
So, I'll apreciate any help became from all of you immi's fans.
Regards,
RADAMES
P.S: this is an advise for any ears, for starting programming in Visula Basic (VB) the best choice is the MSDN TIER which stands for Microsoft Development Network Trainning .... have a look at:

I find your post confusing:
Open Source and Micro$oft, should not be mentioned together...ever
Open Source is anathema to Microsoft!
M$ abhors any open source product as it is counter to their business (profit making) model.
Here is just one example:
MS SQL server (proprietary) versus MySQL (open source) |

Hi Radames. Haven't seen you in a long time!
The first place I go to for MS code examples is Codeproject
They have three sections on VB:
I think you want to look mostly at VB.Net, as that would get you into regular apps, freestanding and both client-side and maybe server-side as well. That's about all I can help with VB, because I never use it (I do C/C++/C#). They have some active discussion forums too. HTH... |

Yes, so do I. Hoping you are rocking the trance and experimental electronic music you make.
By the way, thank for the info @Avantguy, because it was useful. |

It seems that I'm a few months late to this topic, but I've been scripting with Visual Basic for a while at work now. I'm finally moving into C++ or C# that I was supposed start with anyways. And it's not actually VB I'm working with but SaxBasic, and that is technically only equivalent to VB6.
The editor has a small help file that was good enough for me when starting out with the language. Then I looked into MSDN for tips on the more advanced functions. The Codeproject looks good too.
A site at http://www.vbcode.com/ seems to have some code snippets for you. Not that I actually looked at any myself, but it's there. |

Are you wondering about the value of VB in your career (as a software architect, developer, or designer), or do you code software as a private enthusiast?
