I think that there is at least one line from each song that we all love. Whether it be from I Meg or Frou Frou or S4Y.But I think the most I adore or the ones from S4Y.But I think I like the ones that have that certain rythym to them. Especially in "Headlock" I always catch myself doing that smile thing she does in the video. At "unexpected smile".

Headlock-"Throw a stranger an unexpected smile"
Goodnight and Go-"And I'm left in bits recovering tectonic tremblings"
Have You Got It In You?-"Let me have it all. Let me have a battle on. Easy target. Look can we just get it over with?"
Loose Ends-"LIAR!"
Hide and Seek
-(the mmm watcha say part)
Clear the Area-"Cry. Give up. Its OK. You've just got to trust me"
Daylight Robbery-"Get all dressed up to the power of 10."
The Walk-"No response on any level."(The entire part)
Just For Now-"Will you quit kicking me under the table. Im trying. Will somebody make her shut up about it? Can we settle down please?
I Am In Love With You-"Kiss me for longer."
Closing In-"A city dissolving, the thread of your love in the headlights."
The Moment I Said It-"Im losing you. Trust me on this one. Iv'e got a bad feeling.Trust me on this one. Your gonna throw it all away. With no hesitation"

I also take in a breath in "Candelight"! But sometimes I hold it too long and turns into a yawn....I love singing to "Just For Now", especially in front of all of my friends the ones that know im like completely obsessed with her music and I really emphasize the *sniff sniff* part when it gets to it. Like I wont even be singing I'll just be moving to it then *SNIFF SNIFF* right out in the open. Then my friends are like "Yep.. shes listening to Imogen Heap." and then im like "I sure as hell am!"

And I always do the dialogue part in "Glittering Cloud" song where she like "OOO.... my head hurts"

I did that when I was in the car with my grandmother and she offered me asprin.. Im like no Grandma its part of the song. Im quite alright...

Does anyone else when that hear particular words... does it always remind you of Immi in some way like when some says a word you immediatly think of what song contains that word...and that have to listen to that particular song right away? Like I was in some store or something and I heard "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra and theres this part where hes like "king of the hill, top of the heap" then I just kind smile to myself and start singing the first Immi song that pops into my head... hmm.. that was a good time in that store...

I also find it sad when your friends know all the words to Immi's songs just as well as you do and they dont even listen to her. Thats how much I sing out loud...

A couple of wonderful one liners -

"Hide and seek....trains and sewing machines"...ahh, so quirky Razz

And the whole of the second verse of "Just For Now"...

"sniff, sniff... I think something's burning....you've ruined the whole thing...(lol)...muffle the smoke alarm (double lol)....whoever put this music on had better quick sharp remove it (oh come on Imogen, you're not THAT bad...lol)...pour me another...."

haha Laughing

The Walk:
Big trouble losing control
Primary resistance at a critical low
on the on the double gotta get a hold
point of no return one second to go
No response on any red alert this vessel's under siege
total overload all systems down they've got control
there's no way out, we are surrounded
Give in give in and relish every minute of it

Makes me think of someone sinking my battleship!!!!!! ^_^

Must be Dreaming:
Euphoria
I can't take any more of yah
I'm losing it
Euphoria
I can't take any more of yah
I'm losing it
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I just love this part!!!!!! Question.....When Immi was with Guy did she make the lyrics to must be dreaming and all the other songs? and he just did the instruments? sorry for my ignorence?

i guess he played the guitar and some woodwind, and immi programmed, sang played piano. i guess immi wrote all the lyrics.

OK thank you. I was not sure. I know I heard that she learned a lot of creating lyrics from Guy so that's what made me wonder. One thing that I love about her lyrics in frou frou/iMeg/S4Y is that in most of her songs there are random lyrics. Which for me is awesome! And when I say random i mean it in a totally great way. Take the Walks bridge for example...I will always remember that bridge....and Trains and Sewing machines in hide and seek. I mean to me their random and I think that is what makes her music so special:)

From what I can read on the sleeve of the Details Album it was Immi and Guy who wrote the songs, some are Immi on her own though.

Best lyrics have to be: Hide and Seek, on s4y all because they are so perfect and I can really relate to them Smile I like all of the lyrics but H&S, oooof, just does something to me!
The best lyrics on Details to me are: Let Go, Must Be Dreaming & Flicks... But Again all great songs!
iMEGAPHONE: Come Here Boy. =D
