Hey all,
In case you don't get a chance to see it (and if you care  ) here is the review I did for SFY on iTunes here in the states:
Every once in a great while I am moved by a really great artist. Immi did that for me the first time I heard her. As time went on, the more I heard the more I was moved. With the release of "Speak For Yourself" I have fallen deeper in love with the music that she creates. Every song feels like it is a window into a part of her soul. Rarely do I feel that an artist truly shares themselves with the audience but Imogen does. Over and over she brings you into a place that is so familiar that you feel as if you are listening to an old friend. Saying that she plays "Pop" music is almost an insult as what she creates is so far beyond that. I have owned SFY since she released it in the UK. I can honestly say that it was the best money I have ever spent on music. I hope that you all get her music and enjoy it with the same passion that I do. I will say that the community that supports Immi is wonderful and once you listen to her music you will understand why. (Nods to the iBabble board) In closing I must say one thing more. Thank you Immi. Thank you more than you will ever know. |
