| I was at the Hotel Cafe show last night and it was a good one. Imogen played for over an hour and everyone in the room loved her. She sounded great and her performance was rock solid... I had seen her at the El Rey for the Hotel Cafe tour and though that was good, this was so much better. There were a LOT of people at the show last night as well. Most of the attendees were Music Industry people that were on a list, but fans started lining up to get in about 4 pm to get into a show that started at 9! The Hotel Cafe is a very small venue with a capacity of about 200. There were so many that didn't get in, it was sad. The owner really took a chance and let about 120 in over the capacity of the place, so it was crowded, but at least a lot of true fans got to see the performance. I was lucky enough to have been one of the 25 that got on Imogen's guarenteed list otherwise I do believe I would have been waiting on the street with most everyone else. |

Yeah, I was there too, and I must admit that it surpassed all of my highest expectations for it. That's not to say that I had little faith, but I expected an amazing show and got so much more. I don't really have the abilility right now to post a thorough review (as I am sitting in a coffee shop paying for the internet by the minute) but as soon as I get back to Texas I will post my thoughts on the show and some of the pictures I took. All in all, it was an experience that I'm not likely to forget anytime soon.
