So...there are times when I am not listening to the CD...

During those times, "The Moment I Said It" haunts me. All I hear is "suddenly" and "I'm losing you, trust me on this one" and "You're gonna throw it all away" and "smash!"

It's a sickness and I need help.

Heheh. My brother was debating how he would spend the little time he has left at home, between his girlfriend and at my house with my family and I said aloud "Got your heart in a headlock." He looked kind of confused.

Later, everyone was getting all witchy and I continued with "I don't believe any of it..."

I got Loose Ends a little early and shared it with some friends (back off Gene!) and for the longest time, everyone I knew was addicted to it...

And all you had to say was "Complicaaaated" or "Triaaanngulated" and it just set off this fury of singing.

The best part, all the people I sent it to...I also linked to the pre-order and they all got a copy. heh.

I've been trying to keep myself entertained while I wait for my copy, and for some odd reason, the song "Come Here Boy" runs through my head. I sing a lot at work too, so beeing a guy, it comes out "Come here hmmm!" You get the picture.

This album... it gives me tears!

The Walk and The Moment I Said It just rips me into pieces. Jesus those are some wicked tracks. "Its not even light out" just sends goosebumps all the way on my finger tips (even though you dont get goosebumps on your hands).

Immi, amazing. Amazing. wow.

when immi shouts saying 'LLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!'

I just realised, I had goosebumps just _reading_ the line "Its not even light out" when I say it quoted in another topic.

I ordered one thru this site, but the 7digital folks thought I ordered ELEVEN!! So they asked me how many I really wanted and I said ONE. But then the refunded ALL ELEVEN! But it's OK now because James got it right and re-placed my order for one copy!! WHEW!
But I also ordered one from Amazon.com UK which arrived on the 22nd, the perfect way to start the weekend. "Closing In" kills me. I get shivers from that one, "The Walk", and "The Moment I Said It"...
Someone said that "Daylight Robbery" is a great driving song, and I absolutely agree!!

She screams "Liar"? *listens again* that's one of my favorite parts of the song when she screams.

I love the reaction to that word--as if its the latest new thing (well it has probably not been in a beautiful song before).

Anyway, I've been dealing with triangulated meshes since the 60's using tools like "finite elements" to analyze structures with engineering models. Here is an example I picked up as the first Google site--

GTS stands for the GNU Triangulated Surface Library. It is an Open Source Free Software Library intended to provide a set of useful functions to deal with 3D surfaces meshed with interconnected triangles. The source code is available free of charge under the Free Software LGPL license.

Yikes, my example was in Cyan and is practically unreadable-- here it is again:

ok, who else here is now rather intimidated? Wink
but i ask you this- why do people mesh 3d surfaces with interconnected triangles?

No attempt at all to intimidate--just the opposite on this board because I cannot stifle the engineering passion (some would say nerd) that is part of me. Still, I'm proud to have just enough artistic sensibility to be nuts about Immi's work.

Lobby, on the chance that you really want a serious answer (and your cute hard hat indicates you might), engineers use these very detailed surface meshes to try to build realistic computer models of real structures and other things (like Tsunamis). [These structures are often buildings and bridges usually built by people with not-nearly-as-cute hard hats.]

Anyway, while there is much science to refining the (triangulated or quadrilateral) mesh enough to obtain realistic models, there is a little art to it as well. There is also a little of "child building Lego model" to it, so it can be fun.
