| I have a ton of remixes and bsides that my friend sent me a while back. I looooove putting together a giant Immi-playlist with those, Details, I Megaphone, and Speak For Yourself! |

I voted Loose Ends and now it seems ever song has someone loving it! I just love the screaming panic of the hardcore parts of Loose Ends but really, this is such a rare album in which there are no weak tracks and you want to give each song an individual hug of excellence.

But how can I choose between Hide & Seek, Clear The Area, The Walk and every other single song on the album? |

| i think hide and seek is the best just because its so addictive to listen to and me and all my friends put it on repeat. Imogen has a beautiful voice and unusual style and how great that it was recognised in the OC? I love all her songs and im surprised goodnight and go isnt more popular. |

^^Goodnight and Go was my fave when it came out! (in fact, my itunes says i've played it 63 times )... But now that I have the whole album, with other great new tunes, I skip over that one a lot cause I totally overplayed it. So I'm giving my lovin to the other wonderful songs if an effort to play catch up.
Everyday my fave song changes! I love them all... but always go to The Walk first |

"The Walk" - it's absolutely, unquestionably the song I enjoy the most on this album, because I think I've said "It's not supposed to be like this" a million times before and right now, it's just killing me because of how I feel. There is this absolutely beautiful lyric out of "The Dumbing Down of Love" from the Details album by Frou Frou that goes, "Music is worthless unless it can make a complete stranger breakdown and cry," and "The Walk," the very first time I heard it, made me cry. I'm not big on crying either, I hate crying, it's completely rare and entirely not me, but this song, because of the way I've felt the past few days did exactly that.
I have nothing but praise for this extraordinary album, utterly astounding in every way. Just so lush. I love it. |

I absolutely cannot believe how accurately "The Walk" describes my current predicament with a certain (and then again, not so certain) sweetheart. On top of that, it's definitely one of the most powerful and beautiful songs that I believe I will ever hear in my lifetime.
Thank you, Immi. |

It's a tie between: Loose Ends, The Walk & Daylight Robbery. I like the little people talking in "The Moment I said It" when Immi is making those.."Dink it" noises lol..I haven't voted yet! [edit: I chose Loose Ends]
THE ALBUM IS AMAZING THOUGH IMMI. NOT A SONG I DIDN'T LIKE! THANK YOU FOR THIS. Every word speaks to me in a way and I can relate to every song on the album. Kisses fo' yoo!
What I've been posting on other message boards:
I JUST listened to this because I was trying to save it for the United States release but O.M.G This album is AMAZING. The production on the album at times gave me goosebumps -- especially "Loose Ends" -- WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. There is not a song on this album I don't like in the least. I can't stop listening to it. The only things that come to mind when listening are "WOW." I can't believe how fucking good this CD is. She put ALL her emotion in this and you can hear and feel it. THE BEST ALBUM OF 2005.
Loose Ends (lyrics) [posted lyrics on the boards to give them a taste of her style] |

lekishkash wrote: This is an impossible task, James, but I will say that for the moment it's a battle between "Closing In" and "Have You Got It in You?" with "The Moment I Said It" coming in just behind.
The only song that's taken some time to grow on me is "Daylight Robbery," and I never really disliked it to begin with.
You know, I realized that this album is perfect for being played on an airplane. Only if you've got a window seat, though, and can stare out above the clouds and get lost in 'em while Immi croons into your headphones. There's something about all the beeps and blips and her breathy vocals that works perfectly in that scenario. It feels heavenly.
hence my post on my SFY #2 thread where i posted that listening to the cd in my car felt like this picture:

it's hard to pick a favorite because all the songs are so detailed and meticulously crafted. each one goes to a different place. the nuances of immi's voice floods your mind in unthinkable ways. you can feel each song pulse through you, enrapture you, warm you, chill you to the bone... one after the other doesn't give you the same sensations as the one before.
it's exquisite, immi. that's the best word i can find to describe it. exquisite. |

LOL I have two extreme favorites....."Goodnight and Go" and that's the one I voted for......it's my first favorite, because it reminds me of someone......and my second favorite....."The Walk" for pretty much the same reason......o.O sometimes it feels like Imogen is talking to me....about me.....for me.....she's so amazing......o.O how does she do it? |

| That explains why it doesn't sound up to par with the rest of the album then. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a GREAT TAKE on an electronica-urban type song (it sounds a bit urban to me at least) but it doesn't jel with the rest. |

| That is a very hard question. I love all the tracks on Speak For Yourself. I chose Loose Ends - I really adore the beat, the lyrics. That's my current favourite anyway. Also, I really like The Walk at the moment, seems very popular over here. Every song is just amazing. I still adore Hide and Seek, it's so different, the lyrics are like, my favourite lyrics ever, I think that's probbs my all time favourite on the album. The songs are just perfect, I'm so pleased with it. I love the album art as well, the photographs, everything is just perfect. |

| Oh goodness, what do i say. THEY ALL ROCK!!!!!!!!!! sorry had to get that off my chest, anybay, i thought i wasnt going to like just for now, boy was i wrong. I love it too. for the most part id say hide and seek, but i kinda see it more of separate thing, being how i had it for a while and on that note, how i dont listen to it as much to get a chance to memorize the other songs. I think id have to say clear the area, the walk and daylight robbery! who am i kidding THEY ALL ROCK!!!!!!!! |

| It's hard to just pick one because the whole album is amazing! I really think that The Walk is probably my favorite followed closely by Goodnight and Go. |

#1 favourite for me is 'The Moment I Said It'
Although I was loving 'Headlock', 'Goodnight and Go' and especially 'Hide and Seek' at the time (a month or two ago), I knew that after hearing the short sample on Imogen Heap's website, 'The Moment I Said It' would be my favourite.. it was destined to. lol. It's the piano. I would be playing the main piano chorus on my keyboard until I got the full version. |

i agree...it is my 2nd favorite behind "Clear The Area"...
its so lush and ethereal....love it and it is what inspired me to say that when you drive listening to it that the whole world seems to be a ballet of movement...from the cars to the people to everything you see as you drive along...loved that.

i really don't think I can honestly pick a favorite.. Of course there's some I like less than others.. but i just press play and enjoy the whole album
Today I'm loving 'have you got it in you' so i'll give it a vote. |

| "hide and seek" speaks to me the most... its just so heartfelt and the fact that its a capella is so effective... the lyrics are incredible especially "blood and tears they were here first." even my mom likes it and she normally hates everything i listen to lol |

I'm being very reserved, only played the album 3 times so far and it's settling in nicely
My favorite is Goodnight and go, it's uplifting, sounds sweet, has a great hook and the guitar playing is excellent |
