Found this thread to be useful in naming alot of the rare hard to find songs but still unable to actualy get a hold of them. Being a huge fan of Imogen and wanting to show my true support, I have not used the fileshare programs such as kaza and limewire to find these tracks. I would rather buy them. Unfortunatly I have been unable to find them anywhere. The initial post in this thread gives a link to a japanese site offering iMegaphone for purchase but I was unable to buy it with my mac(for some odd reason) and would rather just buy the missing tracks as I already own the US rerelease of the CD. Would love to be able to just purchase the live track "Kidding" as I hear its a good one. Also alot of the other b-side tracks are nowhere to be found for purchase:
Feeling Strange
Mutual
Wireless
Leave Me to Love
Miel
Not again

Any and all help help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please help me complete my collection of a hugely talented(and underrated imo) artist. Smile

good to know you have those tracks "shh" but not helpful in finding them.
I did some digging on the net tho and found this site selling the japanese rerelease(for a hefty price mind you) and thought I'd pass along the link, since the aforementioned japanese site is kinda hard to navigate and doesnt work on my computer. Hope this helps a little for those looking for and wanting to own the variant of this awesome cd. Very Happy

Any info on how to get the other rare songs would be great

Some of the time if I like a band or artist I will use a fileshare program to just download a song but if I find a band/artist that I think is truly unique and extremely talented, I do everything I can to support them. This includes not downloading their songs for free but buying all their albums, going to shows and buying as much of the extra stuff(cd singles/b-sides, tour memorabilia, etc)as possible. I find Imogen to be such an artist. So I refuse to download those tracks via limewire or kazaa. Thanks for the heads up shh but Ima try to buy them all if possible Smile

Feeling strange and Kidding are on the i-Megaphon Japan re release. I bought
my copy at HMV Japan
The others are b-sides from the cd singles (Come here boy, Shine, Getting Scared) you can find from time to time some copys at ebay. For myself i am looking for the Shine single but it's hard to find. Sad

I feel the same way Demarco and it's good to see that some people are honest/loyal enough to really go out and support the artist if they feel their music warrants it. Immi is the first artist in a long time that I have even bothered to go out and buy the CD (every last one that she's on in any way) after initially downloading a few songs....and I have worked my way backwards from SFY using eBay and a ton of international online music sites (and babblefish to roughly translate if the site doesn't do it automatically).

Also, I would recommend trying other eBay sites besides ebay.com (like ebay.co.uk)...which is where I managed to snag all of the iMeg singles in one auction--I talked about the process of being able to bid on auctions that are not set up to ship internationally/to the U.S and hence don't show up on ebay.com:

I understand that some things are hard (if not impossible) to find...but very few things worth having are easily come by. I am also well aware that some of those items can get downright expensive and are possibly not within budget no matter how much you appreciate/respect immi...but what I'm saying is it doesn't hurt to at least try to obtain some of the songs legitimately when possible.

And I just like the feeling of accomplishment and fanatic pride when you finally locate that one item or items that you've been trying to get your hands on for months. Wink

I completely agree with you DMperdidi. Nothing better than having patients and waiting it out for that hard to come by item. When you finaly get it its soooo worth the wait. And Immi derserves that much. Imo at least.

on a side note, thanks for the laugh DMperdidi. <3 your profile pic lol

Remember, though, that these items are all out of print. Buying a $50 import just puts $50 in the pocket of some opportunist on e-bay - Imogen has made all the money she's ever going to make from the I Megaphone singles.

Very true...but a used copy is still legal. It's a personal preference really, the whole download vs. buy where out of print items are concerned. i prefer to buy because i feel that somewhere along the line the artist should have made money off of an item as opposed to one copy that got circulated 5,000 times on a shareware program.

I'm pretty sure the watkins radio edit is a clipped version of watkins vocal mix.
At least it sounds that way to me. Smile
As far as I know this is the complete list of official Breathe In versions/edits/remixes:

album version
radio edit
watkins radio edit
watkins vocal mix
watkins loves you dub
dj encore remix
aphrodite edit
aphrodite full vocal mix
mr roque mix
mr roque dub

These were on various promo vinyl and cd releases.
The radio edit and watkins radio edit versions
(along with the b-side Close-Up) were on the Breathe In
single available in the UK.
iTunes in the US doesn't list any of these but
it's nice that both edits and Close Up are available for purchase
through iTunes for those in the UK.

I dunno if someone already posted this yet cuz the thread's waaaay too long for me.... but if you go to The Brit School official website. You'll find immi's songs
Aliens
If I Were A Butterfly
and Missing You
Just go to the Music section, and under "Music we have made" you'll find it in the years 94, 95. For all you guys stressing to find her early music on Limewire unsuccessfully... you can finally relax Smile

me either assassin, have yet to hear Miel as well. And I have a question about Deal with it from Frou Frou: How long is the song? Only version I have heard is only 2min 14sec and fades out. Is that the whole song or is there a longer version available?

!! I love you!! I REALLY want Mic Check, that is ALL I want.. Sad Are you sure it's going to have it? (The "Coming Soon" is giving me lots of joy but I don't want to be living off of false hope, waiting for my Mic Check) so how positive are you that it's going to become available to download?!
