Wow!....Imogen was absolutely sublime! Last time I saw her was at the Roundhouse when she was plague by midi problems. However, tonight was beautiful, powerful, delicate, humorous, and a memory to keep for the rest of my life!
Tracks played included her last original track from Plague Songs, through to Frou Frou. Stage was a bit like Christmas (is everyday Christmas with Immi on stage?).
Nemo delivered great support both in their own right, and also providing the "beefed up" versions of Immi tracks.
Finally, Richard Waters deserves a well earned acknowledgment. Picked through the Myspace competition, he sang beautifully emotional songs, well crafted, and the response from the audience (who instantly warmed to him) was very enthusiastic.
Thank you Immi for a wonderful night in Oxford. So...whens the next album due.... |

omgosh! it was the most amazing thing ever! I was expecting good, but she was so much better, theres just no experience like it
She came down the isle next to us an walked along the front row (i was in row B) with a lil torch that she shined at people, and then attempted to get to the stage which didnt have steps-i thought for a moment she was going to jump over the lil wall thing, which wouldnt have been cleaver as it goes down further on the other side to the orchestra pit lol
She did speeding cars, glittering clouds an come here boy-which i've only heard once before, I loved it! (but its not on itunes eeek!)
Her Let Go was breathtaking, it almost made me cry and the ones she did with nemo were fabby!
I love the way she talks almost to herself, an just says the things that come in to her head-there was a potato incident, tea an nasty tasting mouthwash...its the lil things that make it special
Thanks Immi, your a star! It really was a magical night, I cant wait to see what the next album an tour is like! |

Absolutely wonderful - even better than the Scala gig in London last year (IMHO) - Imogen sounded great and I loved seeing her with Nemo. Glittering Cloud sounded spectacular and I look forward to hearing the studio version. I'd never been to the New Theatre before but I thought it was a really nice venue - just the right size and even though we were right off to one side of the theatre, we had a great view. My girlfriend and I went with her little sister (who, as a massive O.C. fan, really enjoyed it and was absolutely amazed by how Immi can do all those cool sampling tricks). It got me thinking about how Immi is a really good role model:
She is as much a producer and musician as she is a singer.
She is very talented at all three of the above.
She is very pretty but doesn't objectify herself and doesn't need to use her attractiveness to sell her records.
Her personality comes across as charming, intelligent and friendly - she doesn't feel the need to present herself as saccharine, pretentious, aggressive, 'street' or anything like that.
The night was amazing and I can't wait to see her again!
I was green with envy at Richard Walters for playing the slot that night - I (like many others, I'm sure) had submitted music for scrutiny via MySpace. However, Richard has a beautiful voice and lovely songs which helped soften the blow of not being the one on stage! Submitting to the contest also helped me get a few more people checking out my music site as well so it is all good
Nemo were funky-good, they came across as nice guys and they had a fun sound. We picked up a copy of their CD but I haven't got to listen to it yet - I'm sure it will be grand. |

Wiiieee! I can't believe it, it’s just too much for me to take in.
I really had the night of my life!
Me and my friend flew “all the way” from Sweden to see her. But the trip had a very dramatic beginning. Our plane had been cancelled due to the weather so it wasn’t sure that we would make it to Oxford in time… But we fortunately did!! -Phew-
So, we spent the day in lovely Oxford waiting for the show to start. And it was really worth it.
She was sooo gorgeous and amazing! And the show was more than I ever expected..
I can’t describe that feeling I felt when she went up on the stage.. But I am pretty sure you know what feeling I’m talking about..
The whole night was great! Especially when she performed “Have you got it in you” and “daylight robbery”
And after the show I had the pleasure to meet the beautiful Imogen Heap herself.. I couldn’t stop smiling for, I don’t know how long..
So nice of her to take the time to talk to everyone and sign their things.. I got my ipod and the ticket signed. We were obviously the first swedish fans she had met. Really cool!!
Here’s some pictures we took.. I apologize for the bad quality.. but hey.. its fun to watch anyway : )
Me and Immi !
My friend Sofia and Immi
Some english people, me, sofia and immi
Cant wait to see her again!
Thank you Immi for a wonderful night I'll never forget! |

Stunning venue and such a great show.. Nemo were on top form and really got the audience going.. I love the songs with the boys supporting, they just kick in..
Imogen deserves every second of recognition and all the love from her fans, she's beautiful in so many ways...
hopefully the next tour will come around quickly..xx |

Wow, What a perfect night of music, from the opening act, Richard Waters through the middle section with Nemo to the grand finale. This is an evening that most in the Oxford Apollo including me had been waiting for since Oct 2006 and we were not disappointed.
Having missed Imogen in October I went to see her gig in the Roundhouse. Though the Roundhouse gig was good, last night was far, far better. I guess it might have been down to what appeared to be a very relaxed atmosphere in comparison with London. The songs just flowed, we were treated to “come here boy”, “glittering clouds” amongst all the other favourites. Every song is so well crafted and executed I could not pick anyone song over another and I don’t know of any bands or individual I like that I could say that off. There are always a number of songs that you wish a band would not play either live or on an album but not so with Imogen.
I took my wife and son to see the concert and they can’t stop talking about it, just a fantastic night out. Really looking forward to the next UK gig promised for next year by Imogen, in the meantime a new album, lets hope so. |

i'm sorry you missed her.. whata bad luck:/
but we waited outside the "stage door" for a while, we didnt se nemo but we saw the other guy who won the myspacecomp. ( i cant remember his name:/ sorri).. but then someone said that she wouldn't come out until after 1 hour.. but we stayed there.. and after 15 minutes or something a girl came out and said that Immi was in the main entrance.. so we ran over there, and there she stood.. like an angel |

| I'm so jealous! I wish when I saw Immi I didn't get kicked out of the venue right after. English venues are definitely much friendlier than the ones I've been to. |

I seriously had the best night ever!!!
It was fantastic!...
My friend and I had back row seats to the side! But it didn't matter at all!!! We could see absolutly everything!! It was a great venue - just the right size - yet maybe standing up would have been better !?! not sure!
Anyhoo... I had such a fantastic night - the music was amazing - and I just love how Immi makes everything so humourous and personal at the same time. It's so much better then those gigs you hear when bands just play track after track after track - no - it was completly orignial and inspiring!
I instantly wanted to go to the cambridge gig the next night - but of corse it was sold out and I had a hell of alot of work to do!
am a little gutted I didn't wait for her to come out afterwards - but I didn't realise she would lol!
Can't WAIT for the next album..and also when she comes on tour next! I have a great interest to get tickets to germany. Yet my lack of money right now is a problem lol.
All in All - Amazing!

Hey! It was the first time I had seen her-it was amazing! I have seen Pool, no water, which uses Hide and Seek, so I was intrigued to see what she was about. The venue was just right-great view! I was ablsoutuley transfixed throughout the show, and it was lovely that she introduced the acts! |

Cheers. The majority would've been considerably less blurry had I not been in row S. Next time I'll book my own tickets. |

Hey! I went to the Oxford gig and it was THE BEST EXPERIENCE of my LIFE. I adore Immi - I met her along with Brezicka, I'm the English one with the red hair in her pic! How strange, heh Immi is so personable and lovely, I made a bit of an idiot of myself though because I was so happy I cried - ahh well I would LOVE to meet her again, I'm so in love with her. She's so tall, which made it even more intimidating meeting her, she's like a goddess! But yes, her set was breat-taking, and the little things she said just added to it so much more - yes, the mouth wash and the potato She's such a beautiful person and I am so happy I had the experience, I can't stop smiling about it!
For more pics etc you can visit my myspace if you want http://www.myspace.com/sodiesallinnocence - I have a blog on it and some pictures in the View More Pics section.
Love you Imogen, you made my life!!!!! |
