Toasty, your pictures are fabulous as always. Thank you, so much, for being so diligent in posting them for everyone to see.
My apologies ahead of time for my forthcoming words through which I'm sure I'll ramble and possibly not make the most sense. Hopefully at least a few people will follow me, though!
This show was wonderful. I hate to have missed Kid Beyond! I downloaded a few of his tracks on iTunes. Very cool. Levi was so cool. I didn't realize he was from the Dallas area. He's very talented. Very cool performer. He had a few things arise but just rolled with it and made his music. Quite enjoyable, even touching at times, and a great act leading up to Imogen Heap.
I don't have words right now to describe how purely awesome it was to see her live in concert. I've soaked in as much of her music that I possibly could over the past two months. She transports me to somewhere wonderful. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about on your own levels. That'.s the beauty of music, though, right? One of the many, anyway.
Seeing Imogen create her art right in front of me was amazing. Her energy is so powerful. It's as though you can feel her music even more by seeing what she puts into it. Imogen commanded every eye at center stage during the height of Daylight Robbery as she sang and danced in the most ultimate expression of her craft. It's hard to explain, but seeing her sing, seeing the expression on her face, and seeing the way she moved added so much to her music for me.
I loved the intimate, drawn out version of speeding cars. Hide and Seek was different, too. It was great, of course. At first I wanted it to be louder. I soon let go of my expectations (what I'm used to hearing) and got lost in the space between my seat and the stage. I didn't thave a problem doing that with most of the other songs. I guess H&S was a little different for me because it's my favorite to sing as loud as I possible can to in the car late at night.
Immi has such a great presence on stage. Her personality is wonderful. She takes everything in stride and accepts whatever happens for what it is. No mountain too big to topple. Cute, brilliant, funny and most definitely, without a doubt, fabulous.
So many thanks to Imogen and everyone involved with her and the tour for bringing smiles to so many faces. Oh, and fireball, a good friend of mine who is a huge, huge, Immi fan ended up sitting in those seats. THANK YOU, again. They had some other tickets that weren't as great as yours. They were so excited to get an upgrade and see the show from a great spot.
Ciao, all. Thanks for reading. Can't wait to hear from other people that made it to this awesome, awesome show. |

Imogen Heap show in Dallas was one of the most moving concerts I have ever encountered. Wow Imognen, you have an ear and eye for talent. Your charming and without question the most unique woman in music today. Thanks for graceing Dallas with your show. Can't wait till your new album comes out and we get to see you again.

mschartung -- Thanks for that nice review. I was at the concert myself, so it was nice to read and remember, but I know that other iFans who weren't in attendance like to hear about the goings on. I'm so glad that the tickets were enjoyed. And that you had a great time yourself. It really was a good concert, though the Sat night one in Austin outshone it a touch, I think.
More on my thoughts later. I'm knackered after just getting home today from a very, very long trip which began on a plane and had me bouncing between two cars with five friends crossing four states. And I cooked a big Thanksgiving dinner in three different kitchens along the way. Craziness. All for the adventure and to celebrate a brilliantly talented 6' chanteuse.
Brine your turkeys next year, everyone. Yum! Makes them so moist and flavorful. I've got a lovely recipe for anyone who's interested. |

That was a definite typo on my part (one of several). Oh well, I need to do a better job of proofreading if I'm ever going to review again! Thanks for the feeback. |

| Ya. I got to watch the show from backstage. It was great fun! Very cool to watch Immi play the piano and push her little buttons and triggers. |

She's fortunate -- but luck had nothing to do with it.
Tiff works hard for immi, thus she gets some lovely opportunities now and again. Being backstage for the show was one of them... |

This is so late, but I wanted to share my thoughts.
The show was AMAZING, and I think everyone pretty much agrees on that.
Levi Weaver was an great opening act. Not only is he musically talented, but he's also got a great performance personality. It really shows that he's into his music. Can't wait to see him play in Texas again.
On to Immi's show! The performance was amplified compared to last years. Despite technical difficulties in the beginning, she worked through it and gave an incredible show. I especially loved in "Closing In", the dissonance she created with the piano. It was wonderfully orchestrated along with the other instruments, because creating conflicting sounds that still sound right is somewhat difficult in my opinion. There was a cool, I can't say moment because it lasted the entire song, but when Immi sang "Hide and Seek", it was competely silent. (ignoring the sound of the air vent.) At least in my area it was silent. It felt like everyone was holding their breath and just soaking up her voice(s). Especially at the end of the song where there was at least one second of complete stillness before everyone started clapping. Anyone else like the transition from "Let Go" to "Clear the Area?" Good twist to put in the middle of the show. I know my sister and I were sitting there, waiting, and waiting, and finally we figured out the horn had changed keys. It was a new song. Now to figure out which song.... |

i LOVED the live version of "Clear the Area." i thought it was absolutely breathtaking. |
