Excuse me if this is full of grammar mistakes and a bunch of stuff that more than likely doesn't make sense. I'm still in shock
Okay let me see. I don't even know where to begin! I'll start with the openers, Kid Beyond and Levi Weaver. Both of them were truly amazing. I absolutely loved them and enjoyed their performances very much.
Excuse my language, but it has to be said Immi was fucking beyond brilliant. I loved every second of the show, words cannot express how I feel about her and her amazingness after tonights show. There were a few technical difficulties. She messed up twice while starting Goodnight and Go, she then started with the verse cause she said she didn't want to sing it a third time. It was too cute! On 2 or 3 different songs while starting them she accidentally hit the wrong keys and some sort of sound kept going off. I also have to say she was hilarious tonight too!
She did a new version of Let Go, she said she's never done it that way before and once again, it was brilliant!
I was in the front row directly in front of her and her piano. I was so close that her skirt nearly hit me in the face several times.
And now onto the best part of the evening. Meeting Ms. Heap herself!!!
I was lucky enough to meet her, she signed my ticket stub and bicycle poster. She called me dear and sweetie, then she touched my arm and said "thank you, Melanie" At that point I could've sworn I had died and gone to heaven
I hope this makes sense to everyone and I'm working on uploading the pictures now |

bless you, samehands, for posting all those links, especially given how tired you must be! the first one, of immi signing your stuff, makes me feel all lightheaded. i can't imagine what it must have been like to have been next to 6'2" of perfection in person. *whew*
i'm SO happy you enjoyed the show, and thanks too for the review . |

Oh you have no idea how lightheaded I felt. I was waiting for her to sign my stuff and all I could think was "uhh, that's Imogen Heap" over and over Quite a few people waited around to meet her and the whole time she just had a huge smile on her face laughing and talking with everyone. She truly is one of the sweetest people I've ever made and I know that's a night I'll never forget |

As "lovehound" says "bless you" for that review of Immi's show last evening Thanks for posting those great pics of Immi also. Some of them have caught her in that "spiritual orgasm" that Carlos Santana always talks about The height of the moment shots that are very difficult to capture Great shots!!
It gives me so much to look forward to when I see her in about 8 or 9 hours here in Toronto Woo Hoo !!!
Thanks again "samehands" !!! |

It was great having another visit from Immi so soon - seeing that she was here in June. Like she mentionned at one point during the show, she ended the last tour in Montreal and she started the new one here as well.
Immi's set list was very much like it was last time round with a couple of exceptions. Her stage presence is as enchanting as always and she was in fine voice. She had the above mentionned technical glitches, but she dealt with them in her usual, quirky manner.
I feel that it is her honesty and self-deprecating dry wit which, when blended with an incredible songwriting talent and amazing stage presence put her in a class of her own when it comes to new artists. Going to see Immi live is not only a great musical evening, but a hilarious improv show (and I mean that it the best way possible).
After the show, I had a chance to meet Immi again and she completed the autograph she had started on a mouse pad I got for my daughter in June. At that time, she had dedicated it and drew little pictures, but never actually signed her name. When I told my daughter that I was going to the show again, she had me bring the mouse pad back for the missing signature. Mission accomplished.
Immi said that she hopes to come back again soon and I hope that it happens, because I'll be the first one in line for tickets. She is a truly gifted artist, but, more importantly, a wonderful human being.
luv

I can't wait to see her in Dallas again--I wonder who our opening act is going to be since Kid Beyond won't be here...hmmm
Anyway, does anybody have a Set list?...did she play Glittering Cloud, Mic Check or anything else that she didn't on the previous tour?
Thanks! |

Man! Last night was so incredible!!! It was the first time for me I've got the chance to see Immi live and my god, i can't wait for her to come back in Montreal! Like she said at her "last" song (she said it herself with the quotation mark because she knew we would call her back for a recall, very funny ) the time has passed so fast...it's like, she started the show and then the next minute the show's over! I really especially loved the fact that she integrated the two artists who did her first part, Kid Beyond and Livi Weaver, in her performance. They added so much great stuff to her songs, especially to Daylight Robbery who rocked so much! Like others said, there were some minor technical difficulties along the show, but it was just kind of funny!
The thing i'm so saddened about is that I missed Immi after the show!!! My friend and I were waiting hoping that she will come but some security guy told us that they were closing the show room so we left... Arghhh! Lesson learned: always stay after a show, even if you have to punch the security guard!
Thanks for the magical night Immi! |

I forgot to mention in my little review that it was fun to see Immi on stage with other musicians. It gave her the chance to be more expressive on stage.
She can call the band "Imogen and her Heap"...

saw the concert in Montreal 2 days ago and i must say i am complety or almost out of words to say how much i enjoyed it.
it was my first Imogen Heap show, i am a new fan !!
i was introduced to her music thanks to the Garden State movie.
i think i never saw a show like this.
i thought she was a great musician, with a great voice, very funny on stage, a great presence as well, not taking herself seriously, she had the courtesy of introducing the two guys in the first part and even had them join her on stage when it was her turn to perform, i am completely amazed.
it is so refreshing to see a artist like that ! |

why, yes it is, lovehound. we wondered the same thing in boston when they were bringing it on stage to hang it up..."is that a corset lamp?" |
