OOOkayyyy! First post, strangely Confused But seriously, i tell you now, i cannot put into words the concert last night. Immi is seriously the BEST live performer i have ever seen. SOOOOOO, i actually can put in to words Razz here is my review....

The story begins with me and my Mum getting to britstol around 3-ish. We walked around the city for a while and i saw TONS of Immi posters about, so of course then i was on a mission to find a silver a ticket, i didnt find one but it was fun looking anyway. I even took one of the posters for myself hehe. I took a picture of Immi's tour bus which was parked right outside, it is sooo cool. Sorry the pictures slightly blurry.

Anywayyy.....we got to the venue at abour 6.30 and went inside and had a look at some leaflets and then proceeded up the stairs. Then i went over and look at the merch stand. They had some great things there. I ended up leaving with a poster (the one with the flower on Immi's head like off the small posters around the city), an iPod cover which so totally sexy, its black with the "speak for yourself" picture on the front annnnnd then when you open it, it has Immi's signature inside, ingraved, with a kiss and a trademark snail also. On the string thing that you can attach to your ipod cover it has on it "crop circles in the carpet" written all the way down it! I got a free card advertsing Headlock and Speak for Yourself and a free myspace kinda, iPod string thing, or whatever.

I sat in the cafe bit for a while looking at my Immi merch when i noticed a sign that said, no cameras or recording equipment in the hall. I was gutted because i really wanted some photo's. But, don't worry, that didn't stop me Wink
At about 7.00pm the staff started to take tickets so we took our place at the front row (woo hoo) A7 and A8. I took a picture of Immi's set up, which i could not believe was so beautiful!! I didn't turn out very well, but here it is anyway.

You can just about see her new Piano there....i think....oh *sigh* hehe, the pictures do get better i promise.
So first "Encyclopedia" came on at 7.30, introuduced by Immi of course, and played a half an hour set. They were really good, i couldnt believe how much the one guy smiled all the way through Razz They used this tinnnnnnnny teeeny iPod to play the back in electronic drums and sounds while they played guitar over it and sang, their was only two of them, but they were really well rehersed!
Then at about 8.15, of course, Nemo came on stage. I had no idea what to expect, but they were brilliant!! The lead singer had a great voice and was doing some strange dancing. He was pretty funny and then half way through their set, this big goup of girls ran to the stage and started dancing. Nemo said it was one of the best gigs, and they seemed to like the little dancers at the front, the lead guy said "Thank's for that girls, see you later yeah" Razz .

So now to the main attraction....Miss Imogen Heap!! I had heard about her entrance so i was looking out for her. The lights dimmed and everyone cheered like crazy as the cool electronic beat started. Imogen was alking through the crowd, saying hello to everyone , she then had to come right down the front row to get to the stage, literally about 2 cm away from me! She got on stage and sang " I am in love with you" Which was fantastical!!
I love how Immi can move around the stage freely now with her ear mic thingy. Anyway, Then she introduced her Perspex piano saying "If i could make love to it, i would" in a funny accent. She then played "Speeding Cars" with it, which was beautiful as ever. Immi then introuduced us to her band again. She did some cool loops with her "Parrot" and did beat boxing and stuff like that, all very very cool. The guiatarist guy came out from Nemo and played with Immi on "Goodnight and Go" which was amazing. Nemo really added something special to the songs, giving them a more rocky feel. It was amazingnesssss!

She played all the songs from speak for yourself with candlelight, let go and speeding cars also.
The highlights for me were of course Loose Ends, number one, firstly because nemo were brilliant and added such a cool vibe with the live drums and guitar. Here's a picture of Immi screaming "LIARRRRRRRRR!!"

Immi also always kept the audience entertained as always, she was really funny and when she was looping her piano for clear the area, people were laughing at something she said, she actually got a little bit of laughter in the sample.
Razz
Also Headlock blew me away, again because of adding the live drums and the two guys in the band were singing the "Ahhhh Ahhhh" part in the chours and the "Bom" part of the drum beats. Immi said "Oh its my favourite bit of the show when these two sing!"
More favourites had to be "Closing In" "Have you Got it In You" which she played as her "Last song".

I got a picture of Immi waving goodbye to everyone before she went off and got ready for the encore.

Immi played "Hide and Seek" as her first encore, with Immi saying
"Im going to play 'that' song" and the girls near the back shouted "WHERE ARE WE" i found it really funny as Immi said "Well, no, actually its called Hide and Seek"

She then played Daylight Robbery which got everyone up and clapping, the dancing girls came running down again holding up a sign which said mmm whatcha say? on it. She finished with the haunting "The moment i Said it" with the whole room in complete silence and she finished with "bye bye bye" everyone went crazy and she came to the front and held everyones hand, i was at the end so she held my hand and said "Thank You" with a huge smile.
I got a great picture of Immi waving goodbye, its a little blurry, but i like the effect!

After the show everyone walked down the stairs and out of the hall, probably just as exstatic as me! I had to catch a train back to Cardiff so didn't have to time to see if Immi was going to come out and take pictures, but it was the best show iv'e been to EVER EVER nonetheless!!

If your still reading then....well done Smile To finish here is a picture i tried to take but went wrong, but its cool all the same!

Thank's to Immi, i had an amazing time!! Very Happy

BEST...SHOW...EVER!!! I'm still on a high from it. Sitting front row, right in front of her piano stool. I loved every minute of it, especially Daylight Robbery when everyone got up and was dancing.

Immi was so funny, as froufrou_flicks said, she introduced her piano by saying "If I could make love to it, I would" in a sexy French accent and I found it hilarious when during the *sniff sniff* I think something's burning she moved the mic to her nose and then back again. She had to start Just For Now a few times because there was a 'puh' noise as she sang, she's such a perfectionist.

To make the evening perfect, I got to meet Immi after the show. We had managed to befriend a lot of the staff at the venue who told us that she wasn't feeling too good because of her sore throat and that she might not come out to see us. However, we decided to hang about and try our luck. After 45mins she finally emerged, looking as fabulous as ever in a casual white suit and with her hair still in the mohawk. Me, Adam B and some of our friends were talking to her for a while and got her to sign a few things. Adam and I had left her presents which she thanked us for, and I complemented her on Glittering Clouds as I love it so so much! I think I managed to make a fool out of myself by talking too much and announcing that I thought her piano was FIT! but nevermind.

It was an absolutely amazing evening!! One that I will remember for many many years to come. Now I have to blag some time off Uni to go see her at the Roundhouse, it can't be missed!!
