Hey everyone,

19 years old and from the Netherlands is me. You know, one of the most boring countries in Europe. I've been a huge fan of Immi's ever since I heard "Goodnight and Go" and "Hide & Seek" on "The O.C." What bothers me the most, is the lack of interest in Immi's music over here. It seems that nobody has ever heard of her, here in the Netherlands. Which makes it even harder to go out and buy her cd's and singles and such.

Unfortunatly I know practicly nothing about Immi's personal life or history. Heck, I just found out her real name was Immi (right?Razz) yesterday. I don't even know how exactly to pronounce "Imogen Heap" and what it even means. I do know however that I absolutly love her music. Her voice is incredible. I was most impressed by her vocal acrobatics and wordless little doo-wops, etc.

Other than Immi I'm crazy about Sarah McLachlan and Aimee Mann. I do play a little music myself (guitar and piano etc.) but I'm still a major amature compared to Immi, lol. As I said, I hardly know anything about Immi's past (same goes for her previous albums) and hardly even understand the whole Frou Frou thing lol. I only know her from the "Speak For Yourself" album and I absolutly love that one!

I basicly love all of her new songs except for "Just For Now". I'm not sure, maybe it just takes getting used to.

Damn, I sure can babble! If there's anything more you'd like to know about me, please let me know. I'm so glad I can finally talk with others about Immi, considering there's no one I personally know who has even heard of her..lol.

Howdy and welcome to I-Babble Very Happy .

Ok well you pronounce Imogen how its spelt really, like im(like HIM but without the H)-oh-gen.
Frou frou was a callaboration between her and Guy Sigsworth who has produced such peoples music and Madonna, Bjork ect. Guy doesnt sing in it though only Immi does.
And her first album was called "iMEGAPHONE" (Which is an anogram of Imogen Heap) It was much more rocky than "Speak For Yourself" and was released in 1998 and is very hard to get your hands on now. But its still really great.

Well i hope you stick around, theres loads of cool people on here.

Thanks for your replies! Very Happy As I said, I know very little of Immi so I don't quite know what her 'status' is. Is she really 'big' in the music world? Because I believe I had read a post of someone saying they saw her at a restaurant and just started talking with her. These sort of things could also happen to Sarah McLachlan a year or 8 ago, but not no since she's become so big. So I don't quite know her status, lol.

I'm dying to see some of Immi's live work. I've heard she's really good live so I can't wait to see her. But my being in NL, and only 16 makes it very hard to ever achieve that lol. I hear she had performed live on BBC 6 music, but I couldn't find the re-recording of that show anywhere on the BBC site anymore, unfortunatly.

I've also heard "Come Here Boy" and I really liked it btw. Right now I'm really curious about the track "Cumulus". I've been trying to download it (god forbid) but with no result whatsoever.

Lol, at last yeah. Razz I'm so glad I can visit these forums now. I've learned more about Immi in one day on the boards than I have in a year as a fan of hers, lol. I'm so dying to just fly off to Londen and go to one of her concerts, lol. I didn't even know she was English until I heard her speak during that Shockwave thing, which was so cool! The little song she sang about the ringtones was amazing. I love her!Razz
