Okay, I know that I'm super late, but can someone give me a link to the song? I have yet to hear it.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. Is it Immi singing in the chorus as well? |

Who is L. Heap???? or is that just a typo?
It makes me feel better that more people were involved. It's cool Immi did the background vocals... because Britney would never do her own. (lol)
I know this topic hasn't been written in for a while...
But has anyone considered that the lyrics you're hearing aren't maybe Imogen's but perhaps her sister?
Immi's a musician... who's to say that other membersin her family aren't?
Just a thought...
And this might have been solved... I dunno...
So no one come and say to me "This topic was finished ages ago... keep up..." cos I wasn't here ages ago... |

hey, this must be the swedish singer robyn carlson, simply called robyn as an asrtist. i'm sure, because one of her collaborators is called andreas kronlund. guy sigsworth produced two tracks, 'blow my mind' and 'should have known', on robyn's album 'don't stop the music', so it's not that odd that they collaborated one more time. she's one of my favourite artists and you should really pick up her latest self-titled album. it's amazing!
i can't believe that she has written a song together with imogen! too good to be true. the song rocks!
Jup, it is! Which means that three artists I really like or love worked on this track. That in and of itself give the song a lot of credibility. The intro is sheer genius. And now that I've warmed up to the more shallow end up the music pool, I quite enjoy the track. Britney is not so bad
Look at it this way: This track is the very last known Frou Frou collab. |

So, have we confirmed that this is immi?
Sounds a lot like something she would do...
although, is it about anal sex? :/
that seems to be the consensus on youtube lol |

Britney Spears - Over To You Now
Taken from the Chaotic CD/DVD in the UK, and Someday (I Will Understand) EP in Japan. |

| I've only recently been won over to Britney through my boyfriend, but there's no denying that it's Immi doing the intro vocals and the back-up during the chorus. In addition to the vocals, the music is classic Immi sampling. |

i hate to say it, although i love immi and britney, i think the idea of this song makes me sick, maybe because of the lyrics... but.. no ):... it's a no.. the first no i give to imogen AND britney... |

I wasn't a fan of the song at all when I first heard it, but after subsequent listens it's growing on me. The lyrics...yeah, it's not like anything Britney does will ever be poignant or meaningful. It's just a fun song.
I find it a little funnier that my friend thought "Unusual You" was an Immi song when she first heard it. lol |

It does have an Immi feel to it, and makes me feel better about caving and actually liking Brit Brit. |

I was trying to find the official songwriting credits for 'Over To You Now', as there has been some confusion about Immi's involvement. I read somewhere that the song was originally written by Guy Sigsworth with the Swedish singer Robyn, and intended for an album by Robyn until Britney decided to use it. So I didn't think Immi was involved in writing it, but just provided some backing vocals. But I found this source which looks quite reliable
http://swisscharts.com/showitem.asp?interpret=Britney+Spears&titel=Over+To+You+Now&cat=s
and it lists Immi as one of four songwriters, with Guy Sigsworth as the sole producer. I suspect that Immi provided the melody for the backing vocal, which is very much in her style. |

Well I do remember Immi blogging about the fact she was going to work with someone very famous in the states and then over to you was brought to everyone. But yes the intro is very immi style if you ask me.
I'm thinking immi created the lyrics if guy worked on it as well. Maybe he did the music? IDK? maybe it was a collab b/n the 2..
But I love how immi has travelled into the world of pop! She is so good at it!
And for those who have not heard it :

Just have to say... DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SH!T IMMI FANS ARE GOING TO GET FOR THIS? Okay, really? Jason, BS? Not trying to be hatin' but really... I'm agreeing with Lobby and pretending this doesn't really exist. Immi can do fine on her own, why bring all the dramatic popstar, tabloid hugging into it? Right?
On a side note - Imogen starting her own production company would be sweet. Let's get some fresh faces though. Gah. I better stop.
LOVE!! |

The vocals are definitely Immi, she not only sings the "Duh le la da" background chanting, but if you listen closely she actually sings the chorus with Britney herself. Next time you hear the track, listen to the "'Cus it's over to you now, cus it's over to you now now, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" you'll hear Imogen singing at the same time
I love it and to be honest, there are several tracks I can think of from her albums that could easily have been pushed away into a side-line EP and have this track featured on a proper album for the majority of the public to hear.
