Hi Everyone! I'm Whitney from Ohio. I was just introduced to Immi's music a few months ago, and just let me say I fell, and I fell hard! No music can even compare to her style and voice, I find it really hard to listen to much else. All of my friends are getting annoyed with me now because I listen to no one else, but I don't care! Just like the rest of us, I cannot WAIT until the new album comes out. I soo hope to eventually see her in concert, my life will be unfullfilled until I do! I can't pick a favorite song but here are just some of the ones that stand out the most to me: Say Goodnight and Go, Hide and Seek, It's Good to be in Love, Let Go, Just for Now, Must Be Dreaming, Speeding Cars, Glittering Cloud, and Kidding, in no particular order. When I'm having a bad day or I'm really stressed all I have to do is put on some Immi and I feel better already! |

| Hello. I'm a new fan. Well, "new" isn't quite accurate. I've been a casual fan for two years... just enjoying and appreciating what I hear. I just recently decided to dive in a little deeper. Boy, am I glad I did. |

I am neither adept at blogging, nor familiar with many of the basic means to post a question, or seek answers to a specific question. However, I have reason to ask for clarity re: Ms. Heap's lyrics to the song, "Speeding Cars". My search for this insight brings me here.
Like many good works of art, this song overlays emotion with ambiguity, propelling listener into the context of their own interpretations, compelling one to draw conclusions based on their own life's experience.
In this case, however, the song holds significance for me, of such gravity that I dare not assume too much. Namely, what was the circumstance of which she wrote when Ms. Heap composed this song ? As with the use of anagram as metaphor for her own name, such a clever girl as Ms. Heap could be forgiven for infusing this song with symbolism, dark and deep.
My reasons for asking are deeply personal and quite tragic. If anyone out there knows, or has access to Ms. Heap to raise the question, I would be grateful for her clarity. |

Hello
My name is Laura and I'm new to this place, though I've loved Imogen's work for years now. I consider Immi one of the most creative and inspiring artists of our time... Hope to exchange thoughts on music and life with all the fellow fans. Actually I've been registered since last year but haven't posted (no time, some bad times) - I'll try to make it up |

Hi! I'm John and I'm new
I joined because 1 I love Immi and her music and 2 because a post by someone on the site lead me to the 30 second clips of Ellipse on Amazon! I was so excited to hear some of the album I just had to join |

| My name is Maya and I joined about 5 minutes ago. I discovered Imogen Heap and her work 3 years previously from a group my dad introduced me to as Frou Frou. I immediately loved the music and I eventually checked out further records she had made which led me to her solo albums. I haven't purchased any of her records yet but I have heard some of her stuff online and so far I'm quite attatched to "Speak For Yourself". I'm in love with the songs Hide & Seek, Goodnight & Go, as well as earlier works from her contributions with Frou Frou, the songs Maddening Shroud, and Let Go. I love all the others but those are the ones to first come to mind. As far as music videos go, my ultimate favorite would be from the song Must Be Dreaming. I can totally relate to the colors and the fantasy-like imagery. |

| This seems like the right place to say things such as 'Hello' , 'I've been a fan since the Garden State trailer' , 'seen her live up here in Newcastle and down there in Brighton, the time with the monkey ball tea' and 'love her and her music' and such. |

I'm with you on this one. I loved seeing into Immy's thoughts, not just on her album but life in general. I can't wait for the DVD.
Oh, but I'm being rude. Hi, I'm Emma! I'm a huge Heapster and I'm also discovering her work with Frou Frou now too.

Hello, good morning and welcome
I am 6.
Feet
And
4
inches.
The reason I am here?
Ask my parents.
It's their fault.
Yes, I love Ms Heap's music.
Her vBlogs are jolly jolly too.
I'm hoping to see Ms Heap live soon. More to the point, I hope to hear her. One without the other rather invalidates the point of a live gig. Doesn't it?
Enough waffle. I'm off to listen to a CD by someone called Imogen Heap. Have you heard of her? She's rather good. Recommended in fact.
Good luck to you and all who sail in you.
Charles |

Do people not read the note for the avatar sizes?
...width can be no greater than 120 pixels,
the height no greater than 120 pixels,
and the file size no more than 98 KB.
There are some pretty obnoxiously huge avatars on this forum. |
