| a really, really long time ago, frou frou posted samples from "Breathe In" on Acidplanet.com for remixing in a contest, and sadly i only found out about it too late when the contest was over, and so i could not download the samples to remix, but i really really want to give it a try although the contest is over; does anybody have the .zip file of the loops so i can give it a try? |

I remember a remix comp on the froufrou site where you basically had to do a live mix and submit it ... Did anyone win this?
What I do find funny is that with both the FF remix and the Headlock u-myx i was obsessed with using a vocal-loop as mainstay of track ... Weird given that they were about 5 years apart!
Anyway if anyone else remembers this please post as i'm almost wondering if i dreamt the whole thing up!
NOTE TO IMMI: If u feel like doing a remix comp again please use the live mixing thing again as it was very rewarding when you got it right after take 23! |

I similar would love to find the breath in files that were used for the remix. Mainly so i could create my own remix attempts. internet archive has all the html files but none of the stored rar files
sucks. Would love to do some proper immi mixing. Still use the i-myx software a lot
don't know about the live mix thing tho mattsy. |

Oh man, thank you so much!!! I borrowed laptop with Ableton on it and I'm having a blast! It's my first time so it's pretty confusing, but still crazy fun. Again, thanks! |

Thanx so much for this!!!
I had so much fun mixing the samples and trying to recreate the song adding some other elements!
I hate being so late as regards that era. I would've loved to feel the excitement as things would start to happen
i love frou frou! |

First of all, thanks for uploading this!
It's really neat hearing all the separate tracks.
But is anyone else having issues when importing it into another program? See, I use Cakewalk so sadly no one can probably help me with this. But, when I import the tracks into it they're all pitch shifted like majorly. It's really annoying. I tried changing the BPM to see if that would help but it just speeds up the track, it doesn't change it (which I still thought was neat, I've never been able to do that before).
So yeah, if someone magically happens to use Cakewalk and could help me that'd be amazing.
PS: Anyone know what the normal BPM of this song is? |

This happened to me in garageband... i don't know the bpm, but what helped me was converting all the files into mp3 or aiff files and when i reimported them, they were perfectly normal.... |

Thanks!
I guess I'll try converting them to .mp3's then... just have to find a program. I found out from this site (http://www.sbduoplxg.dmvn.com/view_title.php?TitleID=6576) that it's actually 98 BPM. But what's unique about these .wav files is that they change with the speed when you change it, as .wav files anyway. Don't know if you can still do that when you convert them to .mp3.
Thanks guys, again! Was banging my head against a wall all day about this. |

It worked! Thanks guys...
As I figured, you can't change the speed of the vocal tracks now, but it's pitch is correct anyway. Thanks! |

It says it's available in the store but I don't really want to spend money and find out that it doesn't work. And can you somehow install the u-myx program on a different computer? Laptop is not very reliable for music stuff. |

To be honest I've had my copy of the u-myx on 5 or so computers and never had an issue. So it should still work and won't hurt if you move your files round (in theory!). |

Thanks for still keeping the file up! I stupidly delete them a long time ago because I was super busy and didn't think I'd ever have time to do it. But, now I'm really getting into remixing and heard Royal Sapien's remix a while ago and it really inspired me.
If you want to get an idea as to how i'd remix the song, go here:

Hmm. Maybe.
I need to find time to do music again and actually finish something. |
