Ahhh, ever just get frustrated? That's me, right here. I want to record but lately have been feeling that the best thing to do is just return the spendy gadgets I purchased for something more realistic.
And I hate that - realistic.
Do your dreams ever seems bigger than the means you possess to fulfill them? Or does one forget that and charge forward anyway? Feeling completely frustrated and useless lately.
Do we just wait it out and hope that inspiration and confidence will strike soon enough?

I've felt the same way many times- the life of an unknown musician is one of sacrifice and uncertainty. It's so easy to listen to the internal demons because that's what we've all heard while growing up- you can't do that, you won't make any money, it's too hard of a life, blah blah blah... It's important to remember that all that talk usually comes from people who don't know what the creative drive feels like and therefore have no frame of reference for the euphoria we feel when we triumph.

Typically, whenever I am feeling uninspired I'll listen to an album I like or I'll read something- just any kind of intellectual stimulus to get the creative side working again. I've found that when I analyze other people's music it makes me consider other aspects of my own work...

Also, I've found real solace in other artist's work and their life's story. I mean, at one point in her life, Imogen had that same dream we have. I hope this makes sense- just keep striving for excellence and you'll more than likely achieve it.

Thank you thank you. It's nice to feel the support. You mentioned some points that I needed to be reminded of. It makes sense.
