Can anyone give me some info about Kate Havnevik!!!
I don´t know if she has an album out yet, but there is some buzz about her at the moment.
She played live at KCRW last year, and she´s apparently been gigging in London.
Anyone?? |

| I really like her voice. I listened to that KCRW broadcast almost a year ago, and I've been waiting for here to release a cd. Hopefully it'll happen. |

Great to see those things.
I actually heard that she is also featuring on the new Royksopp album. Maybe that´s worth checking out as well. |

wow i'm listening to her clips and me likey.
i've been having a rough time lately finding music that i'm into. i always check the "if you like this, you could like these..." lists from amazon but it's hard to be introduced to new music. good thing we have this super-social board!!! |

Wow I really like her... I agree with you that it's hard to find music like I really love...which is why I like this board, cause I figure people that like immi and immi herself will have good recommendations for neat, unique artists that are not widely known.
I've been meaning to go through the 'what have are you listening thread' to look into some new tunes, as well as immi's old iblogs...but that just takes time...and then to find clips of the tunes...grr...annoying.

Wow! I've just discovered her. She is absolutely amazing!
I got the link of new artists that Temposhark recommend.
I had heard "Only This Moment" before (one of my fave songs of 2005)...it helped me through a rocky time for me...but didn't know that she sung on it.
I'm listening to her version of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and i'm almost crying.....i love beautiful music i hear for the first time.
Really do go to her website and listen to some of the clips. I'm looking forward to her releasing in the future!
And Immi, on some of the songs i've heard so far....I can hear the guy influence. Especially on "Show Me Love", it played for the 1st few seconds and I thought Guy Sigsworth! I'll listen to some more. I shall also take your recommendation of Royksopp live too. I have both their albums, and really like them, but never considered seeing them live. |

I feel sorry for her at the moment, her website was attacked by hackers and all information was lost so the site has to be all loaded back up which means they have lost all forum posts including Immi's  Poor Kate. |

Just thought you Kate fans would like to know that Kate's new album Melankton is now finished and will be released in Norway first on April 3rd (the day before my birthday  ) but it will also be avalible on ITunes and avalible to order on Kates site along with some other online stores. I think the new album has mostly songs she hasn't been playing before. And that most the older songs will actually be on the next album. ???
