Right, Radames, but Blue potatoes are ungainly things, as are red and purple lamb chops. Yet when we eat and creep and fall we never ask a silent question.
I'm sure you agree, except - I figured you'd be on the metric system. |

I suppouse you mean...
... what?
ah!!!
Excusse me if i didn't see something abviuous.
I am down arrest by a cop.
...very clever questioning!
When I do a commentary I just try to summarize, the problem is I can create huge paradigms and the people think about them as linked to the subject (if any). No way. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet; are just colors, not food, if I eat colors, I will fill my life of love. With it I can build a house using screws. Shh! Don't say anybody.
//pick a color//
Tell me which one did you pick, you picked green. May. Not. Be. this.

Dude for be honest I do not understand your point. Which is it? I am just seeing that @popfreak that asked the question, has not showed any signs over here about my explanation. I think you were very cinical about "...the metric system." But that is ok.

I didn't realise it needed an answer. I was happy with the explanation of your statement.
If there was a question i am sorry, can you tell me what it was so i can answer. |

...inflatable boat
lifeboat?
with eels?
I like this club
But a question: Do the eels live in the boat, or do they jump in after the boat is launched? |

Yes, personal perception: Imogen's music has so many colours it can appeal to many different "perceivers." ¿verdad? |

*Ahem* Back on topic, I am so so so so happy right now!
Basically, I got my remix back and have uploaded to SoundCloud (that's all we have to do right? to enter the contest?) anyways, it's uploaded here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVuNFZJa2YU
if you want to listen.
Hope you enjoy!
It's called The Song That Never Was... Now Is (azTEC Remix)
EDIT: Please know that Youtube completely ruins the quality. I'll have a megaupload link soon.
EDIT2: I didn't even think about posting a sound cloud link,
http://soundcloud.com/desired_wasteland
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, |

Hey! @D_W_L good job with the song,
relaxing Infra-bass.
nice work.
PS:
(*) Ethnic.
(*) Imposing Classical (violin).
(*) Nice bells in the backgrown.
(*) ...Pan, pan, pan... attention (cello).
(*) Creative outro.
(*) I think I heard a guitar, full distortioned?
(*) Bewitched house UH! |

Yes and no. You have to share it with user ImogenHeap by uploading to her drop box. I don't think you've done that yet because I don't see the usual "some private tracks" notice on your page. This is her dropbox (or maybe you dropped it via the widget on Twestival or you dropped it when not logged in to your SC account).
It sounds pretty good there on SC. Yours seems like the most "cinematic" version I've heard. My favourite part is that loopy passage around 03:00. It reminds of some granular re-synthesis I do live with an old, beat-up Max patch that my life depends on :--) |

When I uploaded it, SoundCloud said it automatically sent it to Imogen. I even had to check an email to confirm that I wanted to do that.
But, I'll resend it again just in case... thanks for the tip and comment!
thanks radames! all sounds came from my Casio, but yes there was guitar in there, some acoustic and electric (echoed). the acoustic is just how it sounds on my keyboard, so not really distortion there. I used the bells (if this is what you're thinking at) because they sounded like that gameboy sound imogen had for one of her demos
EDIT: Re-uploading it I remember going through this so I think I did upload it to her Drop Box, but it doesn't hurt to reupload it |

Okay, so I got the message saying that my remix was in Imogen Heap's drop box. Phew. I'm so glad I re-uploaded it.
(Sorry for the double post )
If I got that message, and now it's saying I privately shared it with one person, that should mean imogen has it correct? Cause I looked on her drop box and it wasn't in there but I don't think that thing is updating correctly. |

Welcome!
Oh! Yes that was a bell sound alike. My pleasure listenning to your music.
In TSTNW where do the beats are located? I read somewhere Imogen leaved a sequence of beats as guide pattern. Do I need a special software to read them? I have the all vocals combined file. |

There were a series of files available to us, including background vocals (seperately from the all vocals combined file). She also included a click track with those files to "keep the beat." You could use it or not, but you had to download which files you wanted to use. I believe there were about 8-10 of them. I have the files stored on my computer but I'd have to upload them somewhere and I'm afraid that will have to wait till tomorrow when I get my harddrive restored on my old computer, sorry. I'm assuming you're just wanting to remix it for fun? Because the contest ended today.
Also, thanks to everyone who listened. I hope I uploaded it correctly. |

Pity.
I will do it for fun.
But, I do not even think about, how to start!
How ... to know what necessary.
I suppouse it is too difficult for me.
Please let me know how many bpm, rather clicks per minute does the song have, the pattern? and I will do it myself.
Could you please send me some copies of those files by mail? I would appreciate it so much.
Perhaps, I use them in my own version of TSTNW. It is because, at the end I do not know (in music) what I am going to do until it is done.
Oh!
Shame on me |
