Imogen has joined the micro-blogging service Twitter and will be posting updates on her progress whilst recording solo album no.3 live from her mobile phone and computer.
Check out Immi's profile at www.twitter.com/imogenheap
Twitter users can follow her and receive updates on their mobile device for free. Those who aren't signed up to Twitter can subscribe to Immi's updates via RSS (look for the link on the bottom lef of her twitter page).
You can also sign up for your own Twitter account and get updates to your mobile device for free).
We are also planning on using Twitter to power the 'Where's Immi' feature on the website - hopefully this will make it more reliable and easier for Immi to update when she's on her travels. Stay tuned. |

I think Twitter is a brilliant way for fans to be kept in the loop. I personally enjoy and look forward to Twitter texts on my phone, as I know it's an update from Immi herself. I don't follow anyone else bar her.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question?
Twitter automatically sends out the message almost immediately after the user posts them to anyone following the user. Sometimes there's a delay in getting the messages via sms, and very occasionally they never appear at all - when this happens it's due to Twitter having technical problems. Unfortunately this is one of the limitations of using a free service. Twitter doesn't cost us/Immi anything to use (to pay to do this ourselves would cost a fortune), so we're at the mercy of their system.
It's still a pretty cool service and means you can (bar a few technical gremlins now and again) get Immi's updates in your pocket seconds after she's written them.
I hope that once Immi is touring/promoting again we can really begin to use twitter, there are so many cool ways in which we could (and I'm hoping we will) use it, the idea are endless! |

lol, i don't have the service synced with my phone, i just check the twitter website  i presumed they charged you to receive the messages to your phone.

the actual twitter page isn't working for me, for the last week or so the page has just been coming up with an error, I assumed this was the problem everyone else has been having but maybe it's just me after all 
I didn't realise they were on immi's myspace page though, hurrah! **hurries over there** |

She's going to LA/NY for some music thing. Could that be the Pop-Tech she mentioned in vBlog #27?

It's possible. But Poptech isn't till October 22, so it would seem like she would be coming a bit early. Though it would seem silly for her to make two trips so close together, so she's probably going for poptech and something else.
Hopefully she will elaborate on the next vblog. |

I had a funny feeling it was sometime in October, not too sure though. You confirmed it for me. Mind you thats over a month in another country. I doubt she'd stay over there that long.
Methinks it's just a kind of do she's been asked to come along to. Pity she doesn't do more gigs in the U.K.
She's certainly an artist I'd be willing to spend alot of money and travel a distance to see. Though overseas is a little different.
Mind you she IS an artist with a rapidly growing fan base and rising popularity. Make sense she's out their in the world. Mind you, I'm still shocked to hear alot of people don't know her when I mention her. |

I know what you mean. Whenever I mention her people respond to the effects of "Imogen what?" Though I don't think that the majority of her fan base is in the United States, so that may have something to do with it.
