<  iCollaborations  ~  "Let Go" Covered by A Static Lullaby

I just saw that one of the bands I like (A Static Lullaby) has covered "Let Go" on their most recent cd. It is a very interesting cover to say the least . Check out the 30 second clip on i tunes. I actually like it because I like the screaming Very Happy If I would've know this song was an album only download off of i tunes, I would've downloaded it.

Wow! Sounds great! There was another hard rock/metal cover of this knocking around ages ago - but I really like this one. Off to purchase from iTunes!

nobody should even try to fuck with let go...but it's cute to see people try...

but what you canNOT do is change the words...that's just ridiculous, immi's words shouldn't be altered, they're perfect as they are

i TOTALLY agree with you. like its all good to try and atempt it, but changing the words.... no thats just a one way ticket to the death toll

I love it when bands cover song and change them. It brings a new twist to the song.

That is why it is called a cover.

If they did it the same way why do it at all???????

That would be called a remix?

Is it bad for me to say I actually enjoy this song? I have to think of it as its own song, otherwise I start hating it again. But yeah, as a song and band, it isn't bad!

I do wish they hadn't changed the lyrics...they're amazing. They changed enough with their style, so they should've left those alone.

It may sound like theyve changed the lyrics but they didnt. Sometimes with metal its hard to understand what they are saying but its fancies.

I agree.

and I would think its flattering to find that someone did a cover in a different type of music. I think its pretty cool.
and sometimes it can be funny when people do covers in rock type music because you have albums called "punk goes pop" where bands sing J-Lo when the lead singer is a guy. and "punk goes 80s" singing the bugles. most of the time its all in fun..
but yeah, if someone would even attempt to change the lyrics, immi or not there is no point in doing the song at all, because then you're pretty much taking the original artist's pride and effort towards their song. and its going way to far

I don't like the fact that the singer's voice is so...how do I say it...electronic. It's the stereotypical sound for electronica singers, and Imogen never does that (thank God).
But other than that, it's an alright cover.

I actually like it better than the boys like girls cover; that singer's voice in that band is far too nasally.
